Jandy Lite 2 heater won't ignite FL4 code?

I have a Jandy Lite 2 that has an FL4 Code. Igniter is new. Heater works for a while then shuts down and won't ignite. It makes one click noise then displays FL 4 code. Any thoughts on how to solve

So, you replaced part R367100 (Igniter)? This part if very susceptible to failure if touched. I would inspect and/or run a continuity check to make sure it has non cracks. Does it glow red when you attempt to start the heater? Remember, that is the how it ignites the flame, by getting red hot.

If it glows red hot, but does not light then I'd do the following testing in between;

Check that the inline fuses on the igniter aren't blown,

Check if the control board is sending a charge,

Check the flame sensor for gunk build up. Unfortunately to replace the flame sensor look like you have to purchase a whole new burner assembly to get a new flame sensor.

I also believe there is a toggle switch on the front door. It may need to be depressed before the system will ignite.

    Thanks The Igniter was replaced one year ago. Flame sensor is new. I inspected the igniter. its intact but appears to have brown spots on it. When it lites the igniter glows. When it won't ignite the igniter does not glow. It woks intermittently. Perhaps it is the igniter?

    Yes, I'd replace the ignitor. It's one of the easiest and cheapest solutions. If that works, it's time to figure out why both your sensor and ignitor when out. Have you checked for leaks or excessive condensation on the heating coils? I had a cracked manifold and it caused a world of hurt. Good Luck and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks Replaced igniter same problem. The only way I can get the heater to ignite is power it down for 5 minutes then turn it back on. Any thoughts

    Well Mike, I'm out of suggestions. To clarify. When you turn on your heater the ignitor glows red. Then the gas comes on and the burner assembly lights. It works for a while then, stops and displays an FL code. Then if you wait 5 minutes you can do the whole thing over again. If it lights, burns, clicks, flashing FL, turns the entire until off and you have to wait 5 minute. Then you've triggered some sort of "breaker" safety system. I don't know enough about the electronics or safety systems to help. Good Luck

I have the FL4 error code. Replaced igniter and checked the fuses. Still doesn't light

FL4 is related to the flow in your heater, you need to check first if you filters are too dirty, remove then reset breaker and try again if it go away it was your filter being too dirty, if it doesnt it is most likely the PressureSwitch on your heater.

Had an FL4 error code and in-line fuses were blowing, replaced the R0367100 igniter (old one missing the tip) and fuses, but still blowing the 2 fuses and getting the 04 code.

make sure the wiring is correct then take fenwall off turn around to see if burned spot where ignitor wires go in sometimes the ignitor will take out the fenwall shorting it out so you will keep going through ignitors

Reset code 4

According to pages 34-38 of the installation and operations manual, FL4 is one of the codes that does not automatically reset itself after the fault is repaired. To reset the controller after an FL4 (or 6 or 7), press the "Select" button until the heater is off, wait a minute or two, and then press "Select" to put the heater into "Pool" or "Spa" mode. The heater should then go through the ignition sequence and function normally. NOTE: The manual also says that an FL4 code should be fixed by a professional.
