Whirlpool supreme LER7646EQ2 won't heat up

The heating element is no good. They break after years of use as they heat up and cool down over and over, they wear out. The part is cheap and yes it is easy to replace. Turn your dryer around, and take off the screws to a short piece of metal that has "vents" in it. It should be sticking out a bit compared to the rest of the dryer back. normally 2 or 4 screws holding it there. You'll see the element. Just pull it out, take it to the appliance shop or Sears and get another element. Go home, stick it back in there and reconnect the panel you took off. Cheap part, simple fix...you'll be surprised how well it heats after that.

When we turn on our Whirlpool Supreme electric dryer, it heats up and dries clothes, but it is making a loud squeaking noise throughout the cycle...sometimes louder than others.

The squeaking noise can be caused by any of the following.

Location High:

Belt slipping on the dryer drum

Worn Drum seals but would sound more like a dragging noise

Location Low:

Belt tensioner pulley bearing frozen and the idler pulley shaft is spinning inside the belt tensioner assy.

Belt slipping on the motor bearing

Motor bearing is dry

Thanks for using FixYa!

Whirlpool Supreme Dryer rumbles while turned on then stops mid cycle. When I push the start button I hear a buzzing noise, then a click and then silence. After the dryer sits for a while, it will start...

Chances are it's the drive that drives the belt around the drum, or the motor is on its way out. Have a technician inspect the belt/belt drive system as well as the motor.

Whirlpool model number LGV7646ANO gas dyer will not heat up

Can you hear a click like always? If not then it has to be either the fuse, ignitor,or sensor. If you hear it clicking then the operator coils are dead. HERE is a link that shows pictures of these parts and locations.
