Either old TV is capable of using an unboosted signal and the new not, or there's further setup of the inputs required.

Why does the screen turn blue and indicate "no signal"?

Hi Jocelyn,
The TV will show no signal when either there is a break in the input signal or the TV is not receiving or processing it properly. Please check the input cables and connections and the signal box. If that is ok please call the local TV tech.

How do I get a signal from my Jack OA8200 digital tv antenna.

The signal meter should show you available TV transmitters. If you have received a signal at this location before and you definitely are sure it is powered up the antenna is defective. Check for anything that appears loose or broken. If the meter indicates a signal check the cable that goes to the TV.

Why does my tv show no signal

It likely has a weak tuner, made that way, not a product fault and will work with catv, devices and boosted signals. Other than that, check inputs on setup menu and see if there's an option to switch from cable to aerial as well as settings for a default channel setup that switches between clear signal and a set top box for scrambled channels.

Pioneer vsx-5231 not pairing with Phillips bdp-2175 smart bluray player

have you tried to connect the Philips direct to the TV's hdmi?

Could be the resolution on the bluray is set to 1080p which may be out of range for the receiver or even the TV for that matter. If you can reset the output resolution of the bluray to 480p first, just to establish a picture then try 720P which all HD tv's and receivers can handle.

I did a quick search and could not find the resolution reset procedure for this unit. Other units will reset if you press and hold 2 or more buttons together.

I have a sony kv36fv1 tv it works well with videos but when you put it on the cable it showes then blacks out and it just does this over and over

Is this happening on all channels or just a few? If it is fine while watching a video, please check you cables to make sure they are secure at the receiver and your TV. Also, try unplugging the receiver from your electrical outlet for 10 seconds and plugging back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and reacquire satellite signal. I hope this helps.

The box keeps freezing and running very slowly, after resetting from the menu the problem goes away for a short while and then returns

You don't specify what type of equipment you have. Try unplugging the DVR from the electrical outlet for about 10 seconds and plugging back in. You can also check your cables between the DVR unit and the TV to make sure all cables are secure. I hope this helps.

Horizontal line moving from bottom to top of tv

I really do not believe that to be serious. This is an indication of receiving a strong signal. You may ask a cable TV or satellite provider to adjust the attenuance signal received through the cable/satellite box. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

No Satelite Signal Indication

The "front end" of your Receiver might be defective. Since your other unit is working then what might be happening is the signal to your unit might be dropping, to check this I would use a Satellite power meter, however if you do not have one you can use your other unit and connect it to the cable that your supposed defective unit is connected to. If the unit works then the problem is the supposed defective unit, if the unit does not work then this denotes a possible cable problem. Tell me if this works for you?
