if i'm not mistaking, that's the way it is supposed to be, you see, majority of the new media devices produced nowadays make use of the auto-rotate function or they automatically switch to side ways view for better viewing, like most sony ericsson i believe there's nothing wrong with your media player

We just bought a Phillips speaker for our Ipod. How do you attach the docking insert to the speaker dock? It does not automatically fit in that hole although I can see in the picture it is flush with the...

All of the Philips iPod accessories were made only for specific iPods - double-check your spec sheet (or the box) to find out which iPod's it is compatible with. Understand that the date of manufacture of the Philips speakers makes a huge difference - if the speakers are 2006 speakers, then Philips did not know about the difference between iPod Nano 2nd gen and 3rd gen, because that issue just didn't exist when the speakers were made. The rule of thumb is: if the Philips was made in 2006, and the iPod was made in 2007 or 2008, then those speakers are not going to work with your iPod.

You might want to double-check with them, however, because there was one model of speakers that was supposed to come with adapters for the various IPods, and every once in a while a speaker set come without those adapters in the box - check the accessories section of the specs to see if it was supposed to come with adapters - they are available from Philips.

Also, the Target/Wal-Mart/etc employees don't have a clue about compatibility issues - they just aren't trained in those details.

My friend gave me a webcam(Philips SPC 700NC PC Camera), supposedly the one she bought came with two webcams... but she didn't give me the CD to download it onto my computer.

hi jenn..

you can find the drivers for Philips products by going to this link:

Philips Contact & Support
(many manufacturers list software and drivers in their support section)

choose your country & language. on the next page, type in the model of your product then click on the model for the country where you bought the product (if you are given a choice).

once you get to the page with information about your product, click on the 'Software and drivers' link in the left hand menu.

be sure you pick the right driver for your country, language and operating system.

i hope that helps! let me know if you have any questions.
