On PayPal you get the telephone number of the seller and with that you can contact the source and get an answer.

Paypal should be safe as long as you vary your password from time to time.
They do use encrypting software for their secure site. It would be as secure as any online banking with the big banks.

They also offer a guarantee of refund for some types of transactions.
Paypal's phone number is 1800-073-263 if you need to talk to them.

Login to paypal, check the account status to see what has happened to the payment. Generally if the account receiving is non-existant - the payment will not go thru. If it has gone thru then contact paypal ASAP to get it reversed or cancelled.

It probably isn't a good idea anyhow considering how common hacking into 'secure' files are any more.
If you have more than one account, I would recommend setting up a 2nd account at PayPal with a different bank account or card.
BTW, PayPal sure isn't perfect; despite having links set up and approved for certain companies, I cannot link from a PayPal button from another site without getting an error message and they have chosen to ignore the problem (have filed MANY complaints) for over four months, not even bothering to answer emails after the automatic one acknowledging receipt.

Now, this is to try recover your money.

Go to "Resolution Center" in PayPal
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_complaint-view&nav=0.4

Click "Dispute a Transaction"

Select "Item Dispute"

Enter the Transaction ID of the payment sent. [Click "find transaction ID if you already don't know it. I hope you will recognize the amount sent from the history."]

Click "continue"

Now, follow the instructions.
You will have to write something describing the problem.
Maybe you can write "Hey, I have not received the .......... that I bought on...... . Have you already sent the item?"

Now, you have to ask the seller his PayPal ID. From where did you buy the item? I hope it is some website.

Please tell me if there is any other problem.

Paypal website has good help section. Normally the site you are purchasing lists PayPal as method of payment alongside Credit cards etc. just choose Paypal and follow prompts.

PayPal is an online money transferring site used by many around the world to make purchases and payments online.

Typically, a PayPal account is linked to one's checking account, which allows you quickly make deposits and withdrawals.

Part of PayPal's popularity draws from the fact that the site is secure and very easy to use. Checking all recent activity and transactions on a PayPal account are simple and take a matter of minutes to look through.

Go to paypal.com and enter your email address and password into the box on the left, then hit "Log In".


Look at your account balance in the center of the screen. Recent activity for the past 7 days will be displayed underneath under "My Recent Activity".

Look through all these transactions to make sure there are no errors. Select "View all of my transactions" on the right hand side to see a list of all deposits, withdrawals, and transfers made to and from your account.

These transactions are in chronological order starting with the most recent.
Skim through these transactions to make sure all the charges and actions were made and authorized by you.


Hit the "Contact us" link on the right hand side to ask questions or send concerns to the PayPal staff through email or by phone.

I have still not received my goods for payment using paypal after trying to contact them. payment left my account on the 29/05/11?


Hi,

If you have not received the goods you purchased you can do the following,
-Contact the seller.
-If the seller does not respond you can open a Escalation Case in PayPal. When you open the case, you can try to work the problem out with the seller. If the seller is not responsive or not helpful you can ask for the case to be escalated to PayPal and they will make a resolution.

To open a case, login to paypal and under the "Overview" tab click the "Resolution Center" option. Follow the directions.

I had $28.24 come out of my paypal but doesn't tell me what the payment was for please can you tell what it was for


The best advice I can give you from my own past experiences are:
1.)Back track your steps.

2.)Check all the sites you recently visited and made a purchase on each site.

3.Log-in and check your order history to see if it adds up to $28.24 (or close to it, because that might be a different currency as well from your own).

4.)Call up Paypal in their resolutions center to maybe help you track down the unknown payment.

How do I pay Paypal for a purchase they paid for ??


I'm not sure that's how paypal works.

Typically, what happens with paypal, is you sign up for an account (which you may have done)

After you sign up for an account you login and add in your own payment information, usually a credit card that you have, and your address and phone number etc.

Then when you purchase something and use paypal as the payment method it will charge the card of your choosing and pay the vendor. By signing in to paypal after your purchase, you are authorizing them to bill your credit card. Then the payment for the item should show up on your credit card bill.

So make sure you have edited your payment methods in paypal and you should be OK.

You need to get the email address of the ebay seller that accepts PayPal payments. Log into your PayPal account, click on the Send Money tab, enter the amount and the email of the vendor, check the type of purchase, click on continue, follow instructions to complete the purchase.

Can't use my Paypal for payment


Stop everything and go to the web page sooner than later.

www.paypal.com and contact customer support and make sure your account has not been compromised.

Never click on a link from a SPOOF email always use the official web page to log in to your account.

Paypal-4029357733 $167.00 etc with 7 different orders. was these purchases paid in full? jdwa550@yahoo.com claims they were NOT paid. I received statement on my credit account they were paid.


I have not been able to use pay pal since 1/2013 and no there is no outstanding $ due to the following email. I had 2 bank accounts wiped out via pay pal and will not "advertise" one there again. SO have also QUIT eBay since that is the only way to purchase there. as you can see via the email it is not due to outstanding $ but due to limit, would not even let me use ebucks to complete this last transaction which was then handled via eBay but was no $167.00.???
