Question about Asko W6761 Front Load Washer

Open Question

The machine starts the cycle and then goes back to beginning of a cycle. We last year had the computer control panel replaced as it was fried. Does any one have a reset code. We were given by technician but have misplaced. This is a recurring problem.

SOURCE: Our Asko D3112 was not draining, so we had

Check your manual to see if you have a drain pan at the bottom of the unit, and a 'float' that checks for water collecting there. On at least some Asko models, water collecting in the pan causes the float to rise, which then changes the operation of the dishwasher. Once that float switch turns on, the diskwasher will always run the drain pump whenever power is applied.
If this is the case for your machine, remove the kick panel. There likely is another panel behind that which covers the 'internals', including the drain pan area. You'll have to remove all of the water in the pan, and that will lower the float and return the controller to normal operation. THen you will have to diagnose the cause of the water collecting in the pan.
Another possibility is damage to the float such that it has turned on it's switch despite no water collecting in the drain pan. I've heard that in some cases a mouse will chew on the float and damage it, causing such machine operation.
In another thread, I posted my solutions to one cause of water collecting in the drain pan. In that case the drain pump was no longer reliably moving water out of the sump area inside the dishwasher. I had thought it was the manual dial control on my d1706 unit, until I learned that the dishwasher has this 'special' drain pan mode.

Hi,

This sounds like either the overflow sensor or the water control valve is stuck.
Usually the valve is a solenoid valve that controls the entrance and fill of the water.
If the overflow sensor is underneath, there may be water down below that accumulated causing this interference.Usually this is not a home handy man repair.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

In the begining of was the water won't stop filling, it overflows and it won't go to the wash cycle (adjetate) however I can turn it to the rinse cycle and it will drained and spins?

Possible that the water level sensor has failed.Shut down washer and trace the sensor which is a pressure activated switch from the drum overflow. the switch can be activated by blowing and checking continuity. if so replace the unit

After 4 years our washer has begun growling and grinding when water fills atbthe beginning of a new cycle. It lasts for 10 or 15 seconds and then goes away. The machine then completes the job. Is some part...

If it is making the noise just as it is filling then you need to replace the "water inlet valve". If you can post your model number I can direct you to the part you need.

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
* Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the "PF" in the display.
* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

Washing Machine won't stop filling up

Try resetting your water level control. If that doesn't help then set the water level control to the lowest setting and observe if level exceeds that setting. If so, you may possibly have a faulty water level control, or an obstruction in the air dome or water level control hose. This can be a tricky 1 to diagnose for a novice.

Shows "LE" in display.

Machine has a bad motor or "stator" on this machine. It is a direct drive winding on the back of the machine. Remove the back panel, the one bolt removes the rotor then you will see the stator winding, replace it and your good to go.
