When i reboot my Zmodo dvr I Can't get menu to come up or mouse to work HDD light keeps flashing, blinking hdd light,HDD indicator light

I had the same problem. Did their online tech support and Patty told me to hold down the "rewind" button on the DVR for 20 secs. You should now be able to right click your mouse to access the on screen menu. You will now want to go under system, and a/v setup and change the device to VGA instead of Vout. Now you can reboot and not have to go thru holding down the buttons anymore. Worked for me.

What does the power light indicate? At first it comes on and then goes off.

Hello, it's not a power light! It's actually the light that keeps track of where and when the mouse is moved and is in place of that rubber ball on the traditional mouse.Regards,nicam49

What are the Pros & Cons between a ''Optical Wireless Mouse'' and a ''Laser Wireless Mouse''

The difference between a regular optical mouse and a laser mouse is the light used to track movement. A regular optical mouse uses an LED light in the optical engine, while a laser mouse uses a laser to track movement. The more dots per inch (dpi) a mouse can track, the more sensitive and accurate it is. A typical optical mouse tracks between 400dpi and 800dpi, while laser mice track more than 2,000dpi. Neither is really better; it all depends on your needs and preferences. Unless you're a gamer or a graphic artist with a need for precise movement, you'll probably find a 2,000dpi laser mouse too sensitive. Many gaming mice, however, allow you to switch sensitivity levels so that you have precision when you need it but can revert to 400dpi or 800dpi for regular mousing. Besides their tracking speeds, laser mice work on nearly every surface, whereas optical mice may experience trouble tracking on black or shiny surfaces.

Mouse light keeps blinking.

You need to make sure that the mouse is near the receiver, or that the reciever didn't fall down or got moved too far away from the PC/desk or the mouse itself. Furthermore, check to make sure that the batteries you inserted were new or fully charged batteries.

Red light

If you're talking about the red light on the bottom of the mouse, it is needed for the mouse to track its movement. When the mouse is not being used, this red light blinks only once per second or so to save power, but once it sees movement, it will come back on.
