Question about Jandy Lite 2 Natural Gas Pilot Light Heater

Jandy lite 2 leaking water on left front side

We opened the pool yesterday and the water heater starting leaking today. You can hear the air coming out of the front left corner when the pump turns off. Is it hard to take the heat exchanger off to find the leak? Can I fix this myself?

SOURCE: Pool heater leakage

Chances are that the header or manifold is cracked. usually the heat exchanger themselves are not damaged from freeze, but either the rear manifold (header) or the front header (the one that pipes go in and out of). Sometimes both. Replacing the entire heater is not necessary, about $200 in parts usually. We have a schematic diagram of the LJ heater here: http://www.poolcenter.com/parts_heaters_lite2_lj_2003-present_pg1.htm

what did you attempt to jump??? no pwer on screen is usually a problem with secondary side of transformer. FLO has nothing to do with that. you prolly blew the transformer. FLO is an open safety within the circuit

Bubbles coming out of jets

Only one way to get bubbles and that is by introducing air into the stream most likely there is a leak in the plumbing this kind of leak only leaks air when there is suction. if you are losing no water then you have a suction side leak. WHich is strange because the heatr is not on the suction side.
