I use to have netgear16 for my wireless I returned it and got a verizon wireless router and I can't get my printer to print it keeps telling me I'm offline and I think it's because it's still connecte

Not quite sure we got the complete message there- but here goes., You've recently changed routers and now your networked printer is no longer connecting to the network.
1.) remove the driver from your Pc
2.) turn on printer- when ready press menu button , use the arrow keys to navigate and the print switch for enter - select SETUP, then I/O connections/networking, then select Auto-IP enabled, Boot DHCP.
3.) turn off the printer, wait 10 seconds, turn on the printer allow to come to ready
4.)n reinstall the driver, it should search automatically for the printer.

Lost my network printer connection

creating the network again would probably solve the issue with it because now you are changing up the hardware for the router. so you will have to set the permissons on the router and the permisons on the comuter to allow the connection to the printer the print share network.

looks to me you have the awnser to your own issue, if you list the router model and what operating system you are running I can give you a more indepth break down.

My laptop will no longer print via my router connected to my desktop. Please advise how to reconnect.

can the laptop get on the internet? that tells me you're still connected to the router. how is your printer connected? through the router directly (or wireless) or do you share the printer from your desktop (your desktop must stay on in order to print from the laptop.

1. You could try to reinstall the Z2420 driver on your computer. 2. Try to reset the wireless network adapter of your printer. Follow the instructions in this article from the Lexmark website on How to Reset the Internal Network Adapter on Lexmark Z2400 Series Printers. Open Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility to reconfigure your printer to connect to your wireless network.
Thanks.

I have changed my router and my networked printer no longer works

Hello Warren !

What happened is that when you replace the router, the IP Address for your printer changed as well. Your network printer connects to your computer through a number called the "IP address" wich is assigned by your router, since you replace your router, the new router assign a new Ip address for the printer, so you will need to change that IP address on the printer driver on your computer as well.

What you need to do is print a configuration report directly from the printer to figure out what the new IP.
When you have this number ( it will look something like "192.168.0.1")
you need to go to "printer and faxes" under control panel, make a right click on the MFC-465 icon, go to properties, then go to the ports tab a click on "Add Port" select Standard TCP/IP and type in the new ip address.

This should reentablish the communication between your printer and computer.

Good Luck
