SOURCE: cub cadet 1610 rans the battery down went mowing.

Hello bigdave1138:

From your Description it Sounds like the Stator/Charging Coils are Bad or the Voltage Regulator (if Applicable) is Bad.
For Testing the Electrical (Charging) System on Mowers you can Use this Site Addy; http://faqs.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/faqs.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3438&p_created=1101706364&p_sid=4fQ1f8Xi&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=3443&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NTEmcF9wcm9kcz0mcF9jYXRzPTAmcF9wdj0mcF9jdj0mcF9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD1Wb2x0YWdlIGFuZCBTdGF0b3IgQ2hlY2s*&p_li=&p_topview=1 and Use the Link for AC Volts/DC Amps Meter Setting Chart. This is for Briggs Engines and Works Well for Kohler and Other Engine OEMs.
Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Be Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

SOURCE: My Cub Cadet 2135 PTO won't engage.

i had the same thing happen
found that the on/off switch had come unplugged from the wire harness just below the switch
had to attach the wires to something underneath so the weight did not pull the wires down and taped the two switches together to prevent it from pulling apart
it needs some kind of clip to hold them together
hope that this works for you

SOURCE: I have a cub cadet 1550, Blew fuse and wont disengage from gear

You have a bad wire which rubbed on the plastic housing to the engine block near the starter mower which causes a short and blows the fuse. I have the same tractor and this happened to mine also. The wire is red.

Was mowing-blades just quit turning-pto will not engage

Belt has broken, or jumped off the pulley, or jumped off the belt tensioner. Look at your deck and go from there. You may have to remove your deck to get to the belts under there cvers but you will see your problem.

The pto quits working after a few minutes of mowing. After sitting for awhile it will work again, but just for a few minutes again.

Check the drive belt , it is probably worn and polished, it will grip a little when cool but will slip as soon as it gets hot.

Cub Cadet zero turn mower quits mowing, service center says clutch is fine but can't find anything wrong. Put 30 amp fuses in and they will blow after about 30 minutes of mowing. Any suggestions

when the fuse blows check for hot wires it seems to have a short somewhere hardist thing to find. look for naked spots on wires or pinched wires .
