Question about Samsung YP-K3 MP3 Player

1 Answer

How do you turn up the volume?

We plugged the MP3 into an I-CY (like an I-dog) & we can barely hear it because we don't know how to turn the volume up on the MP3.

Re: How do you turn up the volume?

Read the manual. If you dont have one you can download it from the samsung website.

When playing music the volume buttons are the up and down arrows on the fron of the player.

Press the player to see the arrows.

Volume is on max and people still can barely hear me when I call

It's not you. it's your mic. Clean it out with a toothpick. BE GENTLE. Blow softly.Turn the toothpick slowly while you clean. if the issue persists, it's THEIR volume. tell them to turn up their headset volume.

Your assessment seems to be correct. The problem is most likely in the iPod.

The stereo headphone connector (called a "jack") may have a broken connection, most likely on the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) inside the iPod. You may try carefully wiggling the plug in the jack and see if the sound comes on and off. Do it with the volume low so you don't damage the amplifier in the iPod.

I have opened them up before. It can be done, but is not particularly easy, and must be done carefully.

If you are technically inclined, or know someone who is, open the iPod and examine the jack connections to the PCB. If there is a break, it can be repaired by soldering a wire across the trace on the board.

If you're not able to do this and don't know anyone who can, it will probably have to be professionally repaired if the warranty has expired.

Good luck!

How do you turn down the volume on the Hott MP3 player?

hold volume button down util the icon turns red then adjust volume with right arrow for up and left for down. when icon goes back to black it should have adjusted to the volume. Also the volume is listed numericly the higher the number the louder it gets.

I put the ear plugs in and nothing happens.. not

To get the basics out of the way, is the volume turned up and not muted at all... if it's turned up then try another pair of headphones that you know work in something else or test these headphones in something else...( cd player, radio etc.) use a pair that you know work to retest your mp3. plug them in, turn it on and play a song the gently wiggle the end plugged into the player back and forth. If you hear a crackling or snippets of song, then it's probably the jack inside the player....try these things and get back.
PS. post the make and model of your player, it helps with problem identification

Can't hear songs on my MP3

Are they .mp3's or .wma's? I haven't gotten .wma's to play, but .mp3's work fine.

You may also want to try creating a folder in the player that contains your music. Shouldn't matter, I know, but you know what that's worth.
