Question about Liquid Video L17LCD2 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

Blinking Blue Light.. >.>

I came home today from work, and found that's all my monitor is doing.
Whether my computer is on or off, as long as there's power hooked up
to my monitor, only that blue light will flash.

What can I do to fix this? will it be an expensive repair? Can I repair on my own?

This is most likely a power supply problem. One or more of the electolytic capaictors in the low voltage section need to be replaced.

Check for loose connection of the video cable connection on the system unit (CPU). blinking may indicate that there is no signal transferred from the cpu to the monitor!

Samsung syncmaster 2220 blinking blue light and no image display

Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Good luck.

Hello there,\r\nMy samsung 940be flat screen is

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for:

I have owned a Samsung 932BW a couple of years. First symptom noticed was a blank screen and a blinking blue light around the on switch. From another desktop computer, I have swapped video cards,...

reynolds3d, Nothing new here. Happens a lot. 932BW will need to have some work done to the unit's SMPS probably. Read my fixya profile and make decision on what you will do based on info found there. 12fixlouie

What does a blinking blue power light when pluggined in mean on a kds 900w?

It may mean that it is in shutdown/restart mode due to bad caps in the power supply or it may be sensing overloading, you need to open it up and inspect the power supply first for caps with bulging top/seals, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps:

Blink s blue light envision g218a

The blinking blue light indicates your power supply has blown out. The heat buildup in the case has caused parts called capacitors to blow and short the power supply causing the blinking. We offer a repair service for $30 plus return shipping. If you wan to do the repair yourself you will need to open the back of the monitor and look for the bulging capacitors. To see what the bad capacitors look like go to our site at: Replace any bulging caps that you see and you should be back going. You will need to use high temp capacitors marked 105c. If you have any questions about the repair or repair service just let us know at the address below.

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

Monitor : no display and blue led light is blinking

The power supply is the first thing that the 110v electric line goes into. The invertor is the next item past the power supply, or sometimes contained within it. I do not thing monitors are a DIY repair.      First substitute a different monitor to confirm that it is, in deed , the monitor and not the video card.
