Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Freezer compartment on Sanyo SR-3660S

Nope. That's about $800 bucks in damage that only a licensed professional CFC tech could "possibly" repair with very specialized equipment. I'm afraid that was a fatal blow to your refrigerator.

SOURCE: SR-172W not cooling

MOST CASES ... THEY ARE NOT LOW ON 134A . TO TELL ... YOU NEED ONLY START THE COMPRESSOR AND HOLD YOUR HAND ON THE SMALLEST COPPER-LINE ... IF IT GETS REAL HOT 110-130 DEGRESS YOU HAVE A CHARGE. IF YOU MOVED THIS FRIG. AT ALL LATELY MAKE SURE YOU LET IT STAND UPRIGHT UNPLUGGED !!! FOR EIGHT HOURS. YOU CAN ALSO SPEED THINGS UP BY: HEATING WITH A BLOWDRIER BOTH THE COLD PLATE INSIDE AND THE BOTTOM OF THE COMPRESSOR ... THIS BOILS ANY REFRIGERANT OUT OF THE OIL AND LETS THE OIL RETURN TO THE COMPRESSORS OIL RESEVOIR THAT IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE COMPRESSOR. THESE SMALL FRIGS ARE GREAT ... BUT FRAGILE TO MOVE AND DEFROST. OIL CAN GET TRAPED IN THE COLD PLATE AND NEDDS TO BE HEATED OUT OF THERE AND SOME UNFORTUNATELY USE METAL OBJECTS TO DE-ICE. A LOW CHARGE WILL NOT FROST THE COLD PLATE (EVAPORATOR)EVENLY AS IT SHOULD. LOW CHARGES (AFTER YOU HAVE DONE THE ABOVE) ... WILL ICE UP IN JUST A SMALL SECTION WERE THE PIPES AND CAP-TUBE GO INTO THE COLD PLATE. THESE DONT LEAK UNLESS SOMEONE TOOK A ICE-PICK OR EQUALLY AS DEVESTATING TOOL TO DEFROPST IT. ONLY WAY TO DEFROST QUICK IS WITH HAIR DRIER ...DO NOT PROP-IT UP IN THERE AND WALK AWAY .. YOU CAN MELT OR WARP INSIDE PLASTIC HOUSING !!!!! THEY ALL NEED MANUAL DEFROSTING THE MINUTE ICE STARTS ACCUMILATING. OR BUY A APPLIANCE GRADE HIGH AMP (10 AMP) PLUG IN TIMMER AND SET TO GO OFF AT 3AM AND COME ON AT 4PM ... ONLY 1 HR. IF THERE IS A VISABLE HOLE IN THE EVAPORATOR COLD PLATE ... IT IS ALUMINUM AND FORGET ABOUT EXOPY KITS TO REPAIR THEY ONLY LAST A YEAR IF THAT. IF YOU CALL TO HAVE IT REPAIRED RIGHT WITH SOLDER ... USUALLY A REPAIR LIKE THAT WILL NOT BE WARRANTIED AND PROBUBLY COST MORE THAN TO BUY A NEW ONE. GOOD LUCK.

SOURCE: samsung refrigerator sr-l628ev ,refrigerator not

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. Or rather I did until today when the freezer started defrosting itself too.

It sounds very similar to the RS21 problem that is on the watchdog website, but as my fridge/freezer is 8 years old I don't think they are going to give two hoots about repairing it foc.

I want to remove the freezer tray from SR-2570M. Can this be done without removing the refrigerant?

No. The freezer "tray" is the evaporator, and therefore, the most important part of the unit. (this applies to most mini-fridges out there)

I cannot understand the dual thermostat manual (" rolling " knob type) controls . They are printed in Japanese . There are 2 temp. control knobs side by side located inside the ref. compartment / lowe

Don't think it's the temp control problem, I suspect one on the defrost elements at the top is faulty, if food starting to defrost in the cycle indicates the lower element is working overtime.

That's the refrigerant coming out. Major fix. I am not a ref tech, so I do not know if there is a guaranteed welding technique to do an effective weld on those refrigerator coils.

Sanyo Mini Fridge Freezes Everything

Hello,
For me I think you have a problem in Thermostat switch contact. Or the rotary switch was not in good contact point, better check it and if still the same, proceed to check your thermocouple if functioning.

The refrig motor starts but the refrig is not getting cold.

Hello,If the refrigerator is not getting cold, you need to answer some question.
1. check if the compressor is running.
2. Is the thermostat knob turn to the proper setting?if not reset it. then see if the compressor motor is running. The compressor is a football-sized case with no apparent moving parts,it's on the outside of the refrigerator at the back near the bottom. If it is humming or making a continuous noise and your refrigerator is still not cooling, there may be a more serious problem with one or more of these components.
1. The compressor
2. Thermostat
3. The overload, relay, or Capacitor
4. The defrost timer
5. The condenser fan motor.
Thanks

My Sanyo SR-4400's temperature stays at around 45 degrees F, causing all my food to spoil even when I turn the knob to MAX, is there a solution to that? My Fridge is new and is only about 5 weeks old...

If the refrigerator is only 5 weeks old please do not attempt any repairs. Sanyo can send a service tech to your house to fix the problem. If you attempt a repair it will void your warranty and then you will have to get the wallet out. So call Sanyo first. Another thing to keep in mind, if the refrigerator is frosting up turning the control to a colder setting will only cause the problem to get worse at a faster rate. So set it back to a normal setting and get sanyo there fast. Good luck. I really hope this is helpful to you. mca0824
