Question about HP Pavilion dv7-1130us laptop
I have two problems as well:
1.) The lights on the front panel are cool and touch which is nice. However, the audio light (next to volume) turns red when the sound is muted and the normal white when the sound is on. I muted my sound one day and now the light is always red. It still works to turn on and off the sound but it remains red either way.
2.) Another sound issue, when I use the HDMI port to plug in to the TV, the sound only comes out of the computer and not the television. It used to come out of the TV when I plugged it in but now it won't.
1) Try updating your sound drivers, they probably control the light. It could be a hardware issue, and if the drivers don't work, there may not be any solution for you.
2) You should go into control panel and into your sound settings. There should be a number of devices listed. One of them is your HDMI output. You need to click on it and set it to the default sound output device. When you unplug your HDMI, you may need to do this again to get your regular computer speakers working.
