I have a independent sony dvd blueray drive. Don't know how to run it on my pc

  • vtec May 10, 2014

You mean you want to view it on your pc whilst playing it on your blueray player ? ok you will need a cable directly from your blue-ray player going to a video input on your pc. The cable connector required will depend on which connections you have on your pc and blue ray player. HDMI might be the best way to go. check which connection options you have on each device for sound/video and get the cable to match your best set up.

Cd Drive not reading discs

Hi Lenora, although your device manager states that your CD drive is working properly, it cannot detect detailed faults, such as a faulty laser disc reader. You can try cleaning the laser lens with a lint-free cloth. If this doesn't solve the problem, you will most likely have to replace your CD drive.
Best wishes,

My parennt got me manga studio debut 4 for chritsmas. My daddy tried to install it but my computer didnt read the disc. is something wrong with the computer or the disc? Is there anything I can do?

I wish I had a real solution for you, because I have the same problem with my own PC and Manga Studio 4 Debut. The only way I was able to get around it was to use my dad's PC to download it onto a flashdrive and then download from there to my PC, but that's a long process and I haven't found a way to download the materials from the flashdrive, so with any luck someone else will know a better solution.

Hi my dvd rw/r drive gadjet is not working right. i have entered the disk of a game i wish to install and all i get is the sound of something moving back and forth from inside the drive which i...

First check if the drive is properly recognized and its name displayed in 'My Computer'.

The sound is actually of the head moving back and forth to read data. This is normal. Try cleaning the lens with a cotton bud or a lens cleaning CD. Usually when the drive gets old it stops reading discs due to the laser getting weak but can also happen with a new drive.

Try using know good discs. If warranty is available, avail it.

My IBM R51 laptop can't read any other cd/vcd

Hello,

its either its a lens problem or that was how the CD/DVD Drive was made.

There are some drives that doesn't play white face discs, that is, they select disc and don't play all CD's, so maybe yours fall under this category.

How long have you been using your laptop and has it ever played Cd/Vcd's before?

If it plays them before, then it means your drive's lens is weak, but if it has never played them before, then it means that's how the player was made.

Which ever way, you still have an option of replacing the drive if you wish.

Take care.

My Wii will not not read Wii disc's...HELP

Hello :

1:This message can display if you eject a disc during game play. If this is when the message displayed, make sure that you return to the Wii Menu before changing discs if you wish to play a different game.
2:If your Wii console is laying flat, it may be positioned upside down. Ensure that is positioned right-side up: the game disc slot should be above all three buttons and the SD Card slot.
3:Ensure that you are properly loading a Game Disc.
4: your console is placed vertically, the disc label will face to the right.
5: If your console is placed horizontally, the disc label will face upwards
6:If you know you are inserting the Game Disc correctly, but are still have the same problem with only one game (or if you only have one game), try cleaning the Game Disc

good luck .

rate please !

Not reading DVD discs

Hello,

has it been reading DVD discs before? Also, does it read other discs apart from DVD's?

It is possible that your DVD drive's lens (laser) is weak. You can try to use a lens cleaner or cutton board to clean the lens.

Take care.

My samsung bdp1000 will not play some discs

Hey chazh,

If you have been having difficulty playing some discs in your Blu-ray player, there are a couple of things that I would suggest.

First, you may wish to try cleaning the inoperable discs using a soft, lint-free (typically microfiber) cloth. Sometimes dirt or lint can build up on the underside of a disc, preventing it from being read or recognized by an optical drive. When cleaning any disc, remember to use gentle, outward strokes from the center of the disc towards the outer edge.

Secondly, you may wish to try cleaning the Blu-ray player's lens itself. Similar to CD's and DVD's, contaminants on the lens of any optical device can prevent it from being able to read discs. Many retailers (including your local Best Buy™ store) may sell DVD cleaning kits, which can be inserted into the player much like a DVD or other media title.

Should cleaning the discs and player's lens fail to resolve the problem, you may wish to contact Samsung directly for further assistance. While dusty media may be one of the most common reasons why a disc would not play, you could also potentially be encountering format compatibility issues or even a manufacturer's defect (such as a lens that is out of alignment).

If you do not feel comfortable working with the manufacturer, remember that you may always bring your player into your local Best Buy™ store for service and repairs.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
