SOURCE: Converting From 12/24 to Starght 24 Volt

The batteries must be connected in SERIES. The method described is proper, but the name of the method is wrong.
On the female plug for the motor on the boat, if you have the wiring for TWO separate batteries coming to the plug, the male plug must have a jumper in it. To find out, disconnect the batteries one at a time and voltage check to see if there are two separate battery systems there. There probably are. If so, the series circuit is provided for in the male plug by the jumper and not in the back of the boat where the batteries must be wired independent of each other.

SOURCE: how do i install elite 5 dsi on 14' tiller boat

Install the battery cables to the battery for the gas motor.

Here is a transducer installation guide for Lowrance, this is pretty standard for all transducers. Pay attention to how the boat sits in the water when trolling for level setting to match in water.

Infrared Toshiba

It sounds that the infrared sensor inside the TV is faulty. This sensor can be located just behind the infrared window at the front panel of the TV. You have to open the TV, and unscrew out the board that has this part; soldered on to; to replace it.

Check the infrared emission of the remote control first. Check it with fresh batteries. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, check this link.http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/. Pull up older posts there. One among it have details about how to check, repair and clean a remote control.
If remote control is found OK, and emits infrared rays, The fault must be to the infrared sensor inside your TV. But, if it has to be replaced, you have to open the TV, and take out the front panel circuit board, where this sensor is fitted. You can locate it just behind the infrared sensor window at TVs front panel. The component is a three solder terminal one, which will look like this.

LG 52LG50 TV remote stopped working

If the standby light on the TV blinks, as any remote control handset is pressed, means, the circuit between infrared sensor inside the TV and main system control section has the fault. If infrared sensor inside your TV were faulty, this will not happen. Here infrared sensor inside the TV and remote control, are working properly.
the fault is with the main system control circuit itself. To make this more confirm, just replace the infrared sensor inside your TV. It is an easy to get component, and won't cost more too. It can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops at your town. There are so many types of infrared sensors are there in the market. You have to make sure, which type is used in your TV. This part can be located just behind the infrared sensor window at the front panel of the TV. In fact, you have to open the TV to access it, as it will be directly soldered to the front panel control circuit board. For your reference, I hereby includes the images of some types of it. Just see, it is a three solder terminal component, easy to get, and easy to fit. If the fault still occur even after replacing this component, surely the main system control IC and its memory IC section circuit should be troubleshooted. This is really a skilled work.

I have synced my controllers, both wired and wireless, but they are not connecting. I have heard about a gel I can use to make the connection better. Is this true?

Hello carolinemacl,

I'd imagine a gel would not help a controller at all to connect to a console. I've heard of Silica Gel Packs to help soak up moisture from the controller, that is if it got wet, and circuits shortening. Infrared remotes (I don't know if Xbox is an IR remote,) use infrared rays to send and receive messages. Infrared rays will transmit a gel filter. It's a hard question to answer.

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

Cannot use remote control to switch on TV, but I can manual switch the TV. Guess the receiver board has problem.

Hello
If front panel contols are working and set does not works with its remote control, first check the remote control for its infrared emission. You can check it with the help of a cellphone set to camera option. Eventhough, human eye cannot detect the infrared rays, electronic cameras can. Just hold the remote control at about a feet away from the cellphone camera lens, and press each button on it. if there is any infrared radiation comes out of it, the cellphone camera will sense it, and you can get an image of it the screen. If it is there, still the TV does not respond to it, the infrared sensor inside the circuit board of your tV is faulty, and should be replaced with same typw and number. OK.

My remote sensor on my dynex hd tv is not working how do i replace it

Hello
It is a three terminal component, can be located just beneath the remote sensor window at the front panel of your TV. You have to open your TV, to access it. Usually it will be soldered directly to the front panel printed circuit board alongwith switches. It can be unsscrewed out from position, desolder it out from the printed circuit board. There will be a number pirinted on its bode3y [usually laser printed],and should be noted. Replace it with same type and number, never use substitutions, as it is a critical component. Insist always on orginal type and number. When resoldering it out, not the position of the terminals and mark it out on a piece of paper for reference.

Usually remote sensor damage is a rare case. Just check your TVs remote control hanset well for ints infrared emission. You can check it very easly, if you have a cellphone with camera option. Put the phone to camera mode, and place the remotec control's infrared led side [front side] towards the lens of the cellphone, and press each button. If there is infrared emission, your cellphone camera will sense it and you can see it in its display. If there is no indication of infrared emission, change your remote control before replacing the remote sensor.
If you eant furthermore assistance, feel free to get me through Fixya. OK.

I can not switch on my TV by remote control while the indication light is on

Hello
Have you checked if there is any infrared rays emitting from your TVs remote control? You cannot see it with naked eyes, because infrared rays are invisible. You can check it, if you have a cellphone with camera option. Put the cellphone in camera mode, and point your TVs remote control's front end [LED] side, towards the lens of your cellphone camera, at about one feet away, press each button on your TVs remote control. If there is any infrared rays comes, the cellphone camera, will detect it, and you can see it on its screen.
If there is Infrared Rays, the fault is inside your TV. Its remote sensor fitted inside the circuit board is damaged. You can replace it with an identical one. Before ensuring that your TVs remote control is damged, just check its cells changed, and look for any dust or rust on the contacts of the cell connections inside the battery campartment of your TVs remote control. OK
