Canon i470d will not print color, checked status and settings.

Hi

Check the Printing Preferences

Start > (Control Panel) > Printer(s) > right click on Canon i470d icon > Printing Preferences > General

Select Colo(u)r Printing > Apply > OK.

Also try Nozzle Check and Print Head Cleaning:

Start > (Control Panel) > Printer(s) > right click on Canon i470d icon > Printing Preferences > Maintenance.

If these do not work, change the colou cartridge and then perform Head Cleaning and/or Nozzle Check and Head Cleaning, as appropriate.

I hope this helps.

You may need to do Head Cleaning after every cartridge change.

Mystery Print Problem with Canon iPF8000

If it's within 12 months of purchase, Canon will replace free, although you may have to hound them a bit. This problem has occured twice (2 new heads) on our IPF8100 each time about 9 months in.

Canon i550 not printing any color, Prints in black OK but no color.

Please check nozzle head pattern first. Is your print head pattern printed perfectly?. Be sure that the print head pattern is ok. No missing line or column. If your nozzle colour is not printed at all even just one point, check the print head or try to clean the print head.

Its asking to install new color but have done this and it's still not working i've replaced both with the same problem

I have the same problem with my IP90. I send it to Canon Service Center in Philippines and they replaced the print head which cost almost the whole printer assembly. After about 6 months (seldom used) it has the same problem and the service center wanted to replace the print head again. I opted to get a new one IP100. My usage is still not so frequent but it is still working after more than a year now. The IP90 is not so good design when it comes to parts replacement. The parts are in modules. No piece-part sold.

Will not print 6BK

Please see the Canon link below, and as Canon links return generic pages, type in "missing black print" (without quotes) or something of that nature. The results will include Reseat/remove printhead, among others. I have reproduced that content for you below, but I would also add that a number of folks have issues with black print cartridges, and it seems this is an issue that is fairly widespread, as one of the results is that your printer may need repair. If you have tried more than one cartridge with the same result, suggest consulting support if you don't think your usage justifies a new print head - especially if you are still under warranty.
