Vizio Model: M550SL 55" TV stuck on 480

My Vizio TV is stuck on 480p. No matter which HDMI port I use, it will not recognize a signal. I have tried with the HD Box from comcast and a Sony blue ray player (Works fine on Samsung TV). Any ideas?

SOURCE: HDMI problems with 40'' bravia

The HDMI reciever board in the TV is bad and will need to be replaced. You should have a technician look at it so they can get the correct part number using the model number and the TV's serial number too.

SOURCE: Pioneer works with cable box but not with new blue

HDMI version is 1.3 in your receiver. The current version is 1.3b. I would suggest calling Pioneer cust assistance and see if there is a firmware update. Your unit has a 2 year parts & labor warranty. Their # is 1-800-421-1404 It sounds like a CODEC issue. Hope this helps

SOURCE: My HDMI connection does not work with Blu Ray DVD

After reading your post a couple of times, it just seems your are in a little of a pickle here. The only thing I can suggest, since your tv will work with fios and not the your BD player(I assuming your using the same port on the tv with the same hdmi cable), is all about firmware. Maybe your tv is not compatible with the the BD player. Try updating the firmware on the tv.

Model m550sl. Why is there no video?

T-con board is at the bottom of your picture. It has a metal shield with I believe 2 screws that hold it down. It has those nice ribbon cables going to it.

The hdmi port of my vizio e231-b1 smart tv is not working. It displays either "No Signal" or "Not Support!" How can I fix this?

That message tends to result from a bad connection (perhaps the hdmi plug in the tv) or a source that does not comply with hdmi standards. This can often be the case when using a computer or gaming device for the signal source. Find a known good signal source and test, then if you still don't get a picture, switch the cable to hdmi 2 and try that one. Ports can go bad or wear out or get debris in them. Good luck.

I am having the same issue with our Vizio E550VL TV. Does your TV show No Signal on the screen? I was able to get regular AV to work with the Yellow, Red, and White cable to work but none of the HDMI ports would not work. If it does not power on at all it may be the power supply. I had to order the main board to get it to work correctly. Vizparts.com is where you can order it from.

I am not getting a signal on my tv when I connect to the receiver using an HDMI cable. What do I do?

First eliminate sources. For example, test another source like a dvd player / xbox, playstation gaming system, etc. If your tv recognizes these sources then it is a problem with your reciever and not the tv. If the tv does not recognize the other devices you tested then the hdmi port on your tv is bad.
