does it try to fire or nothing what i suggest is check the spark arrestor in the muffler it looks like a little screen when you remove it you should be able to see through it if not it needs to be cleaned and the only way that i found that works is to burn it out with a propane torch if thats not the case then let me know

SOURCE: craftsman leaf blower no gas to carb when i remove

First, check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks.

If the lines are o.k., then you will want to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb. cleaner. Make sure the small screen in carb. is free of debris. Use a Den Tek Brush, (, to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.

If this still doesn't work, then you will want to buy a new carb. kit and replace all appropriate parts. If you need further assistance, just let me know.

SOURCE: will not start

Sounds like dirt in the carborater. I just took my carborater apart to clean it and I can't remember how to put it back together. If you try the same thing, Please take some pictures of it first.

Worked last weekend will not start

Need more info. Is it getting gas? You can check this by squirting some fuel into the carb or spark plug hole and cranking it. If it tries to go, then it is getting gas. (Be sure to put the plug back in though). We can work from there. . .

I've put a new sparkplug and new filter -but the blower won't start . Doesn't even feel like it wants to start

Put a spoon full of gasoline straight down the plug hole. Reinstall the plug, if it starts then you obviously have a fuel problem. You may need a new kit installed in the carburetor. Easy fix.

Assuming all gaskets and lines were installed properly, try priming it with a little gas directly into carb, or remove spark plug and put a little gas directly in cylinder and see if it picks it up. Sometimes for first start this is necessary.

Good spark new plug new gas will not crank

Pull the spark plug and try putting some gas or starter fluid in the chamber. Replace the plug and see if it will crank for a few seconds. If it does, this indicates a problem in the fuel delivery system, probably a dirty carb. Good luck!

My back pack ran good for 2 seasons. I have not used it for probaly 6 months this time. I tried to carnk it with the gas that was in it and it would fire but not keep running. I emptied the old gas out and...

Ron--It sounds to me as tho the crankcase and cylinder is loaded with gas. Try pulling the plug out and cranking the blower over many times to try and try out the cylinder. When that's done, put the plug back in, connect the plug wire, hold throttle wide open, NO CHOKE, and pull it. It should eventually fire. May have to do that several times to get the old gas sucked out of the crankcase. You may very well have a gummed up carb, but that can be addressed later.

My leaf blower will not start, It keeps flooding

To start: turn the choke off, hold the throttle wide open and crank. You have a carb problem but this should get you going. John
