WIREIN HEAT PUMP FOR COOLING ONLY

You must wire Orange from heatpump low voltage wire to gether with your yellow s and you must have a common wire usealy common comeing out of heatpump should be black color than what ever color wire you have connected to common at t-stat and airhandler connect that to black wire at heatpump. To make sure blablack I s common follow wire up to board and it will be connected to C terminal now you will have ac all time. If you want heat remve Orange wire from reds at heatpump and you will get heat only.note when doing your wireing make sure high voltage is off to heatpump and airhandler hope this helps

My unit is not putting out power to the thermostat. It's a heat pump with aux heater. Voltage tested between R and AUX/W2 posts show no Amps. What could cause this?

You have to go to your indoor unit its called a airhandler check high voltage going to unit should be 240volts .if you have 240volts look to see if there is a fuse either on the board or in line it will look like a car fuse 3amp or 5 amp check if fuse is blown but before checking make sure you pull disconnect so you dont have any high voltage going to unit. If fuse is blown get same exact fuse auto parts store will have them replsce put stab back in diconnect unit should run .if there is no fuse in airhandler keep high voltage on go to transformer and check for low voltage comeing out of transformer .NO 24 volts comeing out .replace transformer.if you have 24 volts comeing out of transformer check low voltage wireing thermostat wireing one goes to thermostat and other goes to out door heatpump usealy Brown in color and will have 8 small different colors wires inside brown jacket. Check for 24volts between red wire and common should be blue color if it is color coded. If no voltage there is a break in red or common wire.or sometimes just wirenuts need to be retightin.also when checking for low voltage one leed must be on common and other lead goes to red.also with high voltage off take face off thermostat carefully make sure all connections are TIGHTEN. This will also so you witchcolor wire is common it will be connected to C terminal hope this helps.note must have 24volts red and common or t-stat will not light up.hope this helps

We just installed a dometic heat/air pump .#630515.321/65151.301co .the thermostat is not reading the heat pump and it also will not stay lite. Can you help?

It sounds like you have a problem with your wiring. You have to make sure that all signals are complete through out wiring. Ex. Y goes to the outdoor unit on usally yellow, G goes to the g signal on the airhandler, W goes to he w signal in the airhadler and outdoor unit. O/B goes to the oudoor unit, R goes to outdoor and airhandler, C goes to outdoor and Airhandler. Check your wiring and also make sure you have the correct thermostat, meaning you have a heatpump thermsotat.

Power coming from circut board? If yes, check the capacitor. Low voltage fuse good? Transformer good?

Heatpump A/C not working

First,Turn on the heat cycle (Not Emergency)and see if the outside unit come on,If not,and you don't have low voltage outside,Go to the inside unit and test the transformer,If you have low voltage from the transformer but not outside,It is the low voltage wires,If you don't have low voltage from the transformer,It's the transformer. If you have low voltage outside when in heat mode, but the unit won't come on,It's the contactor.Let me know if you need more help.

Please take time to rate this fixya

My carrier air con unit is a problem

There is a low voltage wiring problem. Make sure your t-stat wire is in the correct positions and that you have not removed the jumper wire at the t-stat. There should only be 2 control wires leaving the airhandler and going to the condenser unit outside. Unless it is a heatpump. One wire goes to common and the other goes to the Y terminal. W terminal is for heat. The unit will cut off if you have the unit calling for heat and cool at the same time.

Thermostat has no power heater not working

Make sure the powr is on to the unit.
There should be a disconnect at the airhandler/furnace.

If it's a breaker, try flipping it off then on. If fuses, check the fuses.

Make sure you are actually getting power to the unit itself first.

If you are, you could have a bad transformer or low voltage fuse on the board is bad.

Does your T-stat have batteries? if so, replace them.

Check these items first, then we can go from there.
