Looks like April of 1967 per The several additional pieces of information are needed to confirm date. (1) Location of serial number, if its on the rear dropout (just over the rear axle nut) (2) type of Headbadge on the bike, it should be white oval shaped for this serial number to be valid.

What type? Haro bikes are BMX bikes. If you mean model, try posting multiple pics of the bike/components on a BMX specific site. I know of no way to ID a Haro model (or most bikes) by serial number.

I have Next PX 6.0 Mountain Bike that has a missing connector bolt/nut that is located above paddle/crankshaft and connects front with back of this bike.I need to know the name and size of this part?

I don't know the name of the part, and it's going to be very difficult to ID the part over the Internet. That is a bike that sells for under $100, and therefore unusual OEM parts would be very hard to find. Take to a bike shop to see if they can suggest a fix.
NOTE: The bikes are distributed by Dynacraft, which has been the subject of suits and settlements due to serious fork and frame problems. Dynacraft BSC Inc

SL040733 is the serial number. How do i know what year it is?

if you find a shop selling them they should know the year by the serial number or the paint job on the bike, they even might have a catalogue with your bike pictured.

What is a good fixed gear bike for beginners?

I don't know of a good bike made as a fixed gear (from lack of knowledge not that they aren't made). What I do know is that there are kits our there to convert any bike into a fixed gear and that may be an option if you already have a bike you like.

Dont know how to remove and install front wheel on gmc denali road bike 700c

If the wheel has nuts (not bolts) on each side you just need to loosen each one enough to remove the wheel.

I have a 1984 sportster dont know were the long blue and white wire go in headlight housing

On a 1984 Sportster, nearly all the wires go into the headlight housing. I can send you a schematic but I need to know if your bike has a alternator or does it have a generator on it. The early 84 model was a generator bike, the late 84 was an alternator bike. Contact me directly at and I'll send you a schematic. I need to know which bike you have, alternator or generator.

Good Luck

The bike has power to ignition, lights, horn etc. but can not get bike to turn over. Fuses look good, bike fired a month ago but hasn't been started since. Tried today and nothing. Does battery need to be...

some bikes have a clutch switch where you have to pull the clutch in to start it, i know a lot of suzuki's have them.
also make sure it is in neutral.
and make sure the 'kill switch; on the right hand bar is set to 'run'

My friend just bought a custom bicycles. How do I know if I need a custom bike?

Anybody can benefit from a custom bike. Not only does a custom bike fit you to a "T," it will also be built of materials which reflect your body and riding style. Most non-custom bikes are built to suit the "typical" customer, which probably isn't you. For women, this usually means "non-custom" bikes (any bike you purchase off the floor from a bike shop) are usually overbuilt, that is, they are too heavy and use huge diameter tubing which makes them too stiff. Because a big bike manufacturer doesn't know if you weigh 100 pounds or 300 pounds, they tend to build your bike for the 300 pounder. Why should you be carrying around all that extra frame weight?

Another thing to consider in determining whether you need a custom bike is your level of satisfaction with your current or past bikes. If you find yourself always wishing for a little more comfort, constantly "tweaking" the bike so that it fits better, or experience pain which goes beyond an initial "getting in cycling shape" period, you should consider a custom frame.

What's a good XB Stand?

but no one seems to know what I need.  Is there a certain model I need to look for?  I'm pretty new at this but I know that Pit Bull has some good stuff I just don't know which one's will fit.Pretty sure a universal will work, worst case scenario, take your bike to the bike parts store and see if they have a display model you can use to see if it fits your bike.,,,
