Since the lamp generates a lot of heat, the fans are continuously monitored for correct function. The owner's manual should show you the location of the fans. Make sure that the grills covering the fans are clear of dust and that the fans are clean. Sometimes dirt can cause the fan blades to slow down enough to trigger the safety alert.

Keep us posted.

SOURCE: My Samsung 50'' DLP msg "Check Fan No. 3"

You can attempt to remove the back cover, but there is a very delicate mirror in the back. I'd just move it away from the wall, used compressed air to clean out the fans, and put everything back together. Just make sure you don't damage the color wheel or light engine.

How to replace fan 3 samsung 61 in led dlp

First thing would be to remove cover and look at fans, dirt or dust on one will lock it up.

Google the model number with Parts and a good idea if one or more are identical is replace or even swap them.

The lamp fan and main fan should be easy to see with back removed and are plugged in so if an exact replacement is obtained a few screws and plug and back in business.

TV turns on but lamp never comes on. Seems to try 3 times then all 3 led's on front start flashing. I tried to replace the lamp but problem remains.

If the Lamp has been replaced then problem will be either Lamp Fan or Ballast board .
Ballast board connects to Lamp and it is what powers Lamp on.

Cooling fan motor is making loud humming noise

You will have to pull out the light engine. That will consist of 4 or more screws and disconnecting some plugs. The the whole unit slides out where you can get to the fan housing.

Unless you're mechanically inclined, you should not try it as you could damage the assembly.

I don't know the part number off hand and some of those have newer part numbers as replacement for the original. Just do a google search to come up with a part number.
