The turntable goes into a Phono preamp in a amp or receiver then the amp or receiver will have the terminals for the speakers. The Turntable by itself can not drive speakers. It is a part of a stereo system.

The turntable started dragging and now the record won't finish because it stops. What's wrong ? do I need a new turntable motor? Everything else seem to be working fine thxs David

Is this a cd player or a turntable recordplayer ???

cd player that drags usually mean theres a misalignment in the tray that holds cd

turntables that drag unless they are direct drive usually need there rubber drive tires replaced or a belt what ever it has

What does forbid mean

So you want to directly record phono output on a cd, without on a dd-player? . The phono pre-amp does not only makes the signal voltage higher, it has a built a built in equalizer which is necassary since the recordplayer has a cutoff low and high frequency part.
And besides that is the signal from a needle way too small to work with, so whole the signal get amplified to what we call a line level. And only that signal is strong enough to work with. And if you can record it directly on a cd, depends on which formats your recordplayer understands.

How to connect a technics turntable sl7 wiring diagram

There is just the Left(white wire) Right(red wire) and a black ground cable. Make sure you are using the PHONO input, or the sound will be very low and distorted. Vintage Zenith Turntable starts record in middle.

Check the speed it is set at as the speed setting tells the turntable what diameter of record it will be playing.

Wobbly turntable

http://www.vintage-electronics.cc/Sony.html for a new belt and a manual.

Dear Holm,
you might lubricate, the motor, and pin where the platter is turning upon
It's easy to remove the platter by lifting it upwards,
If the platter is wobbely, maybe the pin is not good mounted to the recordplayer.
good luck,

Technics SL-L3 turntable no sound until warm up

either the cartridge is bad in the phonograph tone arm.  Or the pre-amp in the stereo is bad...remember that the turntable is the only accessory that uses the pre-amp input on the stereo.  I'm betting the pre-amp is bad.

Belt on recordplayer (turntable)

Look at websites that sell Dj equipment.......search for places that sell technics turntables for DJs......and make sure they also have belt driven models like stanton turntables......if they do, then they might have the belt that you need. if they don't then they can probably order it for you or know where you can get the belt from!

if you wind up getting a new turntable, go with a direct drive model....they don;t have that problem as there are no belts!
