SOURCE: since a storm the dab

It is a loose connection or cold solder and cleaning problem this is the main caused of no sound..Cold solder issues - each component is soldered into small holes on the printed circuit board which in turn connects said component to the other components. Due to time, heat, use, some solder joints would be cracked or loose. It is possible that the cold solder is still minimally connected (hanging by a thread). When the receiver turns on heat would be generated which would be sufficient to further loosen up the solder joint to the point it no longer provides electrical contact. Jarring the unit creates movement inside enough to re establish the contact, sometime good enough sometimes not enough.

Again, since the unit still operates (sometimes) then it is highly probable that there are no defective components. As you have surmised, it is possibly a loose connection, solder joints are "connections" except that molten soldering lead is used to attach/connect the component to the board, "loose connection" in this sense is equal to "cold solder".

Again on the assumption of no defective parts, then seeking a more experienced buddy for the soldering might be to your advantage. This is of course in addition to the possible electrical hazards when repairing....

Good luck:

SOURCE: I need to connect denon

The set up with other wireless network can be done this way.set-up is as follows: a BT Total Broadband Home hub wireless router in combination with a D-Link DWL-G810 54Mbps Wireless Ethernet Bridge attached to CHR-F103 system via its Ethernet port at the rear. The USB port by the way, also at the rear, is not meant for this function, it is for connecting to your PC for use with the Denon Music Manager software which should have come with the unit.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

SOURCE: I have a Denon DRA-F102DAB

Hello,

I don't think it is a knob problem but rather a power problem.

To confirm, change to turner using the remote control. If it doesn't change, then it means it is not a know problem. If you don't have the remote, try to borrow from a family or friend that uses Denon... It doesn't have to be the same model.

The unit stuck in AUX is an indication that its having a power problem.

The power supply board maybe defective and that could be a reason why the unit won't function as it should. Obviously, it's receiving power but it cannot transfer sufficient current to other necessary part of the unit because a capacitor, diode, etc may have been faulty. Until these bad components are replaced, the unit might not function normal again.

To actually find out what's wrong, you need to disassemble the unit with a screw driver and check what's wrong. You will be needing a meter and continuity tester in order to test the components on the power supply board of the unit. Once you detect any bad component, you can make necessary replacement at any electronics accessories or parts store within your vicinity. This is the only way by which you can detect the problem.

Of course, testing the power board with a meter will require someone that has the ability. So if you can't, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a family or friend that has the ability to help you out (to good heads are better than on).

Please let me know if you have any more questions regarding to this issue....

I wish you the best of luck.

Regards.

How do I remove "panel lock on" function ?

There is a firmware update that is supposed to help with this problem, but it's not something that the consumer can do. You would have to take it in to a shop for this to be done. You might want to try and contact Denon customer service and see if they will do anything for you.

Hi, My Denon RC-1154 stereo has suddenly stopped working, it gets stuck on the initializing part - it gets to 2/4 connecting.... on the internet radio and freezes and so you can do anything with it? How...

follow this test and fix it. God bless you

The speakers are not connected properly. Check the speaker connections. The Mute function is activated. Turn off the Mute function. The volume is turned all the way down. Turn up the volume. Neither set of speakers is selected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press either A or B to select a set of speakers. Both sets of speakers are selected, but only one set is connected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press the appropriate button to deselect the speaker outputs which are not connected. The receiver is set to TAPE MONITOR (if applicable). Turn off TAPE MONITOR mode. Headphones are plugged into the main unit. Unplug the headphones. The source selector is set to the wrong source. Select the proper source. The impedance of the speakers is less than the rating for the system. Use speakers with the correct impedance rating.

Hi i have a denon dra 685 and when i hook up the speakers i barley get a sound out of it im thinking one of the channels may be out but is there a way i can reset the system as i was given the amp

Hello. My name is Dave. Does this unit have a tape monitor button? If it does, you probably have it switched on. Make sure you turn down your volume before turning the tape monitor off. If not a tape monitor, it may may another switched path that you have engaged. Same fix as above.

Dennon DRA 697ci with bose 901 speakers.....just moved to new house....hooked up stereo and can only get minimal output

I assume it used to work. You need to ensure the connections to and from the active equalizer are all proper. I would think you have it in the Pre-Main loop.

It sounds to me like you have an in/out reversal at the EQ or a dead Tape Monitor selected.

Or MUTING is selected on the DRA.

I have a Denon DRA-397 Receiver. It was stuck with the "Panel Lock" but I followed the instructions here to hold the "B" and "Mode" buttons while powering on. It unlocked the panel. Now the Reciever is...

Check for a reset of the receiver. If no mention in manual you might want to check with the manufacturer for a code . If nada then the electronics are fubar and you are SOL.

Denon receiver (DRA 397) will not speak to iPod dock

IF YOUR NOT USING A DENON IPOD DOCKING STATION IT WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
YOU CAN CONNCET OTHER TYPES OF IPOD DOCKING STATIONS BUT YOU WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL THROUGH THE DENON AND ONLY CONNECT THE AUDIO FOR THAT DOCKING STATION TO THE DENON AS ANOTHER SOURCE INPUT
