Does the presser foot move at all when the machine is first turned on?
Do the needle and feed teeth calibrate when the machine is first turned on?
You probably need to locate your nearest authorized repair center.

My moms does the same. One way we got around it was to hold the presser foot all the way up and click the ok button on the screen. The other thing we did would be to hold the presser foot up all the way while turning the machine on while the embroidery unit was already attached. When I say raise the presser foot all the way up, I am talking about raising it up as if you were placing something really large under the foot, not just in the resting up position. Hope this helps - it is very frustrating! My sister has the same exact machine purchased at the same time as my moms, but she doesn't have this problem.

SOURCE: when I attach my embroidery
Try lifting it past the point it would normally rest at, in the up position. Then if the message comes up touch okay. It sould recalibrate the unit when its lifted. It may be able to be adjusted, mostly its a replacement. The switch is at the back of the machine in above the presser foot. You can see if the back cover would come off.

Testimonial: "Fast response. Accurate too. Thank you. I was able to use my embroidery unit."
it sounds like the sewing machine needs to be checked
to see if there is somthing wrong with the computer in the machine.

I fixed myself. When you take off the front left cover to expose inner workings o0f pressure foot lever, move the pressure foot lever see, the small metal plate move, when looking from back of machine see a small post upper left rear with what kooks to be a spring, lightly touch causing to spring back to the left and you will hear a snap. This is realigning pressure foot and your embroidery unit will register and you will have a normal lcd screen. This helped me, hope helps you.
