Trying to wire a honeywell bath fan control to a panasonic FV-04VE1 ventilator fan cant figure it out. Fan control has two black wires and a ground and the fan has blue-yellow-and orange wires, what do i...

well, this is an interesting monster. It appears that the unit needs to have constant power and a control circuit. Here is the manual, wiring diagram is on page 8. So, you will need to feed power directly to the fixture, after this, you will need a minimum of 3 wires and a ground between the fan and switch location. Power goes down to the switch on the orange wire, When power is sent from the switch back up on the yellow wire, the unit is on, when this connection is open, the unit is in standby. When power is sent from the switch up the blue wire, the unit is in hi, when this connection is open, the unit is in low. I do not know about the switch you are trying to use, because you did not provide a model number. If I were wiring this unit, I'd use either two switches or a stacked switch.

Can a normal two part wall switch run all three parts of a panasonic whisperlite fan/light/night light combo

Was it wired up there before with the 2 switches? One for the fan and the other for the light? You will have to take the plug out of the fan and cut the ends and wire nut them to their wire on the switch. Otherwise it be on when the switch is on. Or,,,, Find the right wire inside there and make sure it is separated from the light and hook it up that way, then it can stay plugged into the fan unit. Check it out, hope this helps.

If you are not very handy I don't think I'd tackle this project. There's going to be drywall cutting, backing to install, attic crawling, wiring, ducting to attach, proper insulating. As an electrician I've done this sort of thing in between 1 and 2 hours, depending on how smooth things go. If you find somebody you trust that's done it before who is willing do to it on the side for cash you're looking at $25-$60 for labor. Is it worth it to you?
