I have a LG Fridge/Frizer Model No GR-F258TS which makes this beeping sound very often

For the last few days, the Express Freeze button sounds is on and off almost every 5 minutes, then it will stop and tonight it went on and off for few hours, minutes apart from each beep. Tried to see maybe the airflow if covered, re-arranged everything in the freezer compartment, however, it still beeps from time to time. Would anyone know of this problem, or what would I check before asking someone to come and check it. Thank you for all your attention and I much appreciate everyone's help.

SOURCE: The alarm beep which tells you to close

Hello,

Sounds like you have a bad door switch. Depending on the age of the fridge, it might still be under warranty. If it's not, then you might be able to access the door switch yourself and pull it out & replace it.

Good luck......

SOURCE: Fridge sat turned off for

Hi.

Try disconnecting power cord for ten minutes (turning off is not enough). See if that does reset the fridge.

If that does not help, then check if there is ice forming in evaporator coil at the back of the fridge. Eventually wait one or two extra day. If ice starts forming and fridge quits cooling, then you have a problem with the defrost system. Likely the thermostat or the defrost timer.

IF the unit keeps cooling regularly, and defrost is OK, then it may be a disconnected temperature sensor. This will cause beeping, and fridge cooling regularly.

About defrost control, see this article: When the fridge is not cooling ...

My lg fridge wont stop beeping

Check the freezer:
If your fridge does not have an auto-defrost function then excessive ice-build up in the freezer can cause the beeping alarm. If you see a lot of ice build-up in the icebox or freezer, switch off the fridge and let the ice thaw. Once the fridge is thawed, the beeping should stop.

My lg fridge keeps beeeping model number gr642apa 8 years ago the beeping is driving me insane but everything else is workin only beeping all the time

http://www.manualslib.com/manual/692499/Lg-Gr-642apa.html
This is the link to the manual for your model. The beeping fault codes are covered starting on page 19 and get into detail by page 22. There are a number of triggering events or causes so you should read about them and try what the manual describes to try and turn the beep off.

Express freeze

Try and access the coils and see if they are dirty. Cleaning them can sometimes clear up the problem. Dirt works like an insulator and makes the fridge run more than it should so it gets very cold.

Refrigerator freezer problem. Kenmore Elite bottom freezer refrigerator, model # 795.75546401, manufactured 9/2004 (LG is actual manufacturer). The Express Freeze LED turns on and 2 "beep"...

Press and hold FRZ TEMP button and REF TEMP button at the same time for 3 seconds. And see if that makes any difference in the problem. ---------- If the problem is same then try the manual reset procedure. In manual reset the unit has to be unplugged from power outlet for 24 hours. Then empty both the fridge and freezer section completely. Then after 24 hours.Clean the melted ice water from the inner parts. Then reconnect the power cord of the unit to power outlet.Set the temperature to normal settings. It will take near to 4 hours for your unit to run its regular cooling cycle.Once this is done then check,if the same problem is seen.-----------This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Want to dismantle the alarm sound.

I did this before and couldn't remember how. This works on our fridge which has a water dispenser and a bunch of buttons on the left door: Try holding the express freez and lock button for a few seconds. The beeping of the buttons should stop too. I tried countless live chats with the LG people and none of them could help me. I tried a bunch of combinations and found this one to work.
