We have a 52" RCA Television and when you turn it on it makes a frying sound and shuts back off. I unplugged it for 10 minutes and when I plugged it back in the same thing happened. What could be the problem?
Thank You,
Louise

I think you have a shorted hori output Transistor NTE2324 if it makes a low squealing sound also ck capacitor 114,120,150 if 150 is puffed up on top it is bad 2200uf 16v use 25v and other 2 are 220uf 35v.
Does the set make any sounds. DOes the front green led light or flash when you try to turn it on.. if not then it could be as simple as a fuse, if it does flash then it can be many problems
The T.V. has no lamp, it has 3 guns red, blue,& green. Unplug the lead that goes to the high voltage splitter(make sure t.v. is unplug). Then turn the t.v. back on if you hear the H.V. lead making a hissing sound continuously most likely the h.v. block needs to be replaced. Follow the lead from the flyback to the h.v. splitter, this will be the lead that unplugs at the splitter.
