You need to adjust the belt keeper until it almost touches the belt. The pulley is not good enough for its purpose. The lips are to short for its positioning and purpose. But if u get the keeper right next to it it will eliminate the space needed for the belt to drop down. I fixes more than 100 like this.

Sounds like the shear bolt is broken, Do you have and owners manual to show you the location of shear bolt? They are easily replaced.

SOURCE: my deck is way too low. How do I adjust it?

Your mower should have a lever on it that you move to raise or lower your deck. The lever will normally have the slots that it locks into numbered like the trans gears if yours is not automatic.

How to repair a clutch cable on a toro recycler mower

Did the cable break? Or did it just stop working? In general you have to figure if it came off, break or did the adjustment slip. Readjust if necessary or replace the hole cable or re install it correctly. Simple Question, so many answers. And if all else fails, take it to a lawn mower repair shop.

Belt came off my model 56175

How old is the mower? Is this the first time the belt came off? Over time belts stretch and end up slipping off, though there should be a spring with a nut adjustment on it, it would work with the handle that puts the mower into cutting. If you have someone pull up on the handle like your going to mow ( make sure mower is off and engine shut off)
as someone is pulling on the handle, trace back and see where the spring is, there may be an adjustment there.

No adjustment, ensure no obstruction on drive end of cable, replace cable, probably stretched over time.

Blades won't disengage

Hi,
When the mower is off and the clutch is disengaged you should not be able to physically turn the blade(s) if you can then you need to adjust the blade brake (look on the mower deck and you should see what appears to be a brake pad). Your owners manual will show you how to adjust. If you need a copy of the owners manual then I would suggest going to www.managemyhome.com and downloading a free copy of the manual for your mower (Need model number which starts is located under the seat).
Good luck!
