Did you tried to plug in the cable in another room, where you are sure that electricity works? How long it is since it last worked? Do you have it under warranty?

Does a y2081 lennox thermostat have a batteryin it

Yes it has 3 AAA batteries.
Pull it straight off the wall. Look at the back of the thermostat and replace the three batteries.

I hear no water draining from my heathy soluions lennox humidifier just put in a new filter

None leaking? Try removing the cover, and manually cycling on the controler switch? Does the solenoid click on, next to the humidifier (the unit with the water line running through it, with wires coming out of it)? If it does click on, is water running down the water pad? It doesn't necessarily drain water when it's working correctly. All of the water SHOULD be getting evaporated into the air return duct.

If it's clicking on, but no water is running out, you should check the water supply saddle valve and make sure it wasn't turned off during servicing.

If it's not clicking on, you should test that you are getting voltage (12v-18v DC) to the solenoid. If you're not, check all wiring connections and make sure they're tight. If you still don't get power, you have either a problem with your control unit/humidistat, your DC power supply, or the control board on your furnace.

Lennox humidifier not working

It could be a number of things.. the most common is the unit is not getting any water the saddle valve not open or the solnoide valve not getting any power to the valve. the Humidistat not turned up high enough should be around 35 to 40%. The damper not open. The screen to the orfice limed up.

HI, Troubleshooting an Aprilaire Humidifier

Aprilaire, a manufacturer of indoor air quality products including thermostats, air cleaners and dehumidifiers, also offers a line of whole house humidifiers. Installed in your existing heating and cooling system, humidity is produced by a supplied water source that flows over a water panel before being distributed throughout your air through the heating and cooling system. Issues you may need to troubleshoot with your Aprilaire humidifier include error messages and the unit producing too little or too much humidity.

Things You'll Need:

Replacement water panel

Turn down the control dial by one setting if condensation appears on your windows or walls.

Turn up the control dial by one setting if there is a lack of humidity, often indicated by dry skin or peeling wallpaper or paint.

Turn the control dial to "Test/Reset" if the humidifier does not run. Verify the heating and air conditioning unit blower is operating. If the heating and air conditioning unit is not operating or you are unable to resolve the issue contact a heating contractor.

Contact a heating contractor if you turn the control dial to "Off" and the humidifier continues to run.

Contact your Aprilaire dealer (see Resources) if you notice an error code on the display and the "Call Dealer for Service" light flashes.

Turn the control dial to "Off" and turn off the water supply if the yellow "Change Water Panel" light flashes. Lift the front panel off of the humidifier. Slide out the water panel. Insert a new water panel. Replace the front cover. Turn the control dial to "Test/Reset" until the "Humidifier On" light flashes. If you feel uncomfortable changing the water panel, contact a heating contractor.

Tips & Warnings

Purchase replacement water panels through your Aprilaire dealer or a heating contractor.

I hooked up my humidifier, and everything seems to be working fine, but I was surprised to see how much water accumulates from the drain...what is a normal amount of drainage over ther first 24 hour...

There is no "standard" amount of water that will be used.

This is a flow-thru type humidifier, which means water runs through an evaporative pad and air blows over it to evaporate the water and humidify the house.

The amount of water the unit uses will depend on the house water pressure, humidistat setting, outdoor conditions, the condition of the humidifier pad, the temperature of the air flowing over the pad, the size of the house, the number of people in the house, the amount of of moisture-absorbing material in the home like textiles, carpeting, drapes, furniture etc., and temperature in the house. There are other factors as well.

The humidistat should be set to the lowest point possible and still provide some humidification (so you don't get zapped by touching metal objects or light switches). Some stats are calibrated in percent, while others simply have numbers on the dial. If you have the stat set too high, you may see frost forming on windows or around doors, in which case the setting should be lowered.

Water pours out the tube from the lennox humidifier

A small discharge of water coming out of the bottom of an April Aire drain spud is normal. This feature constantly tries to rinse the system. This helps to prevent the possibility of mold or bacteria accumulating in the unit from standing water. It may appear to be alot of water. But be reassured that you are breathing in cleaner air. Now if it continues to drain constantly even when it is turned off then you should repair the unit.

HI, I have install on my furnace a General Filter 1099 central Humedifier and not reach the label set . Trying to improve that condition -I clean the unit, replace filter and verify that the water valve is...

Depends on how this humidifier operates. Most now using water in from a valve let the excess water on through the pad and down the drain and have no sump or pump because of bacteria build up (Legion Aries Disease).

Also as outdoor temp drops you need and air is only able to "soak up" just so much humidity. The air will hold more moisture at 45'f than at 25'F. And you need less humidity at these levels do do some of the same job like static electricity, and keeping wood from drying out...

If this helps you please rate me as high as you can and thank you for using fixya..
