There are very many possible causes. You do not indicate your model number, but many units take a few minutes before the compressor comes on. If the compressor is not coming on (a low rumble sound, NOT the fan), you'll get no cooling. If the compressor is coming on, and you still get no cooling, it is likely your unit needs a recharge. Things to check: Is the thermostat set lower than the room temperature? Is the unit set to "fan only"? I hope this helps lead you to the problem and a solution.

SOURCE: comp shuts off

Coils could be dirty. Compressor could be getting too hot and cutting off. Will have one fan motor that turns condenser fan and evaporator blower.

SOURCE: No Cold Air

Have you removed inside filters and cleaned them? have you gone up and removed the cover to see if fins are dirty, or perhaps wasps etc. Does fan only have one speed on thermostat. Does fan run faster on fan only operation? Is it tripping your breaker at all?

SOURCE: not blowing cold air, do u recharge this unit?

only after you find a leak. first u have to make sure if the compressor is running at all. condenser side spinning. if compressor is not working it will blow hot air if the condenser is dirty or blocked but then u would get a minute or two of cold air then hot. you have to determine its empty or what else might be the cause before you start dumping in freon.

SOURCE: window ac unit is not blowing cold air

When the unit is running, go outside and put your hand near the condenser fins, this air that comes out should be slightly warmer than the ambient temp. If it is not you will need to take the unit out of the window and out of its outer case and clean the condenser fins from the inside, this is no easy task as it is very hard to reach. You will want to get a small (toothbrushed sized) brass bristled brush with a long handle. Make sure the evaporator coil (in the front) recieves the same attention and wash the mesh filter that goes in front of the evaporator. Re- assemble and enjoy the cold air.

SOURCE: panasonic air con unit is not blowing cold air out.

This unit is use in motels etc. Check the ouside coil ( conderser) from the inside (discharge fan ) for dirt. Most of these units are floor level . This can cause a unit to short cycle ( cold air is at the floor) .

Why is my brisk air duo therm rv ac freezing up on the inside.

Where you see frost all the time, wait for unit to thaw and start cooling again and carefully slide hand up in that hole and see if you can feel cool air leaking in from divider that separates cool and return air, that will cause freeze-ups as well. Use foil tape if necessary to stop any cool air coming in to return air from around divider. Also, if you have any diffusers closed, (on ducted system in ceiling) or partially closed, open them all up full flow. If you restrict the cold air from coming out too much, it can also cause freeze up. One more thing, take cover off where cool air box is and double check that something isn't restricting the flow of cold in to the duct work if it has ducted system.

Not blowing cold air

unplugged the unit, kept the doors closed about 10 to 12 hours plugged back in and in about 2 hours started blowing cold air into freezer another 4 hours was blowing cold air into refrigerator and continuily got back to the themostat settings, about 1 day. no food was lost because the doors were closed still keeping it cold. i think the fan in the freezer was frozen with ice,but could access it, not the main fan in the back the unit by the compressor, that was running fine. so basically i defrosted the freezer fan by unplugging it. this is the 2nd time in 4 years ive done this, well it beats spending 1000-1500 dollars to replace it TRY IT I HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU BEFORE YOU CALL FOR SERVICE,dave
