Please note that all are not for this reason. Sometimes something is blocking the drain line further down ot the drain tube has an uneven kink in it before it leaves the freezer. Some are because the freezer temperature is way below 0 degrees. If you need help feel free to contact me. Sea Breeze

If your refrigerator is frost-free, water may not be draining into the evaporator pan underneath. The drain tube may be clogged.

Even after good cleaning drain hole in upper freezer freezes over and some ice gathers near ice maker near upper left coils, could ice maker cause this or should drain hole stay open?

if when you pour hot water into the drain hole and water drains down through the hole the drain is clear,if water doesn't drain down the drain is still blocked,i use a steemer to clear the drain and install a heater in the drain so it doesn't happen again.you can buy a heater or make one out of the ground wire that's in a piece of house wire or strip the casing off of a piece of cable wire around 6 inches, stick it into the hole and wrap the other end around the heater in the freezer, when the heater turns on the wire also heats up keeping the drain from freezing up.if the drain is clear then you could have a problem with the ice maker or the fill valve is letting to much water flow through to the ice maker, you'll have to keep an eye on it when it fills to see what is causing the problem. The refrigerator drain hole is freezing and not allowing the water to drain out, flooding the inside.

Make sure the drain is cleared ( hot water down the drain ) You may try to adjust your freezer temp just maybe to cold ? Hope this helps

Kenmore colspot freezer drain line keeps freezing

Hi, The defrost drain behind the rear freezer panel is plugged. Remove the rear panel and clear the ice away from the drain. Then you will need to flush the drain hole with hot water to make sure it is open.
Some models require an after market drain heat kit.
Please get me your model # and I can look this up to let you know if you need that heat kit.

Thanks
Vic

Ice buildup on floor of side by side freezer floor..

Inside the freezer in the lower part of the back wall there's a drain hole wich probably is clough and the water from defrost doesn't go through and freezes up .Put hot water to defrost it and keep pooring it until goes through. If is still clogh try with a wire but do it ery carefull to not put a hole in the drain plstic tube.
