SOURCE: how to change blade on bosch jigsaw GST 80 PBE

I just bought a used one and faced the same problem. What I found in there is a set screw at the bottom of the long shaft. I used a long narrow flat head screw driver. It worked good, but I did have to acuate the trigger to get it the blade near the top of the stroke

Hope that helps.

SOURCE: bought a jigsaw a bosch pst 54e how do i change

In the handle directly over the blade is a deep hole. You insert a long thin bladed screw driver into this hole all the way down. Twist slowly and it will locate with a screw. Undo the screw and then twist the remaining piece of blade 90 deg and pull. Replace new blade in the opposite way. Twist it so that the cut is to the front and then tighten up the screw. Do not tip up the unit while doing this as the screw might drop out and you might loose it

SOURCE: how do I change the blades on a Bosch PST 2000

I couldn't find that specific model number Bosch saw, but here is the link to get user manuals from Bosch in case you mistyped it. (It's a long link that wouldn't all fit here, so I had to put a carriage return in it)

Or they may have a similar saw under a new model number. Here's the current model number of a very popular saw that has a less-than-obvious blade changing method 1587avsk

I have an old bosch 158IVS uh, what do you call a little reciprocating saw? jigsaw? anyways i can't for the life of me figure out how to change the blade. i've undone every screw. opened up the motor...

well the sawzaw will be drastically different from the jigsaw, but the jigsaw will have either a round twist lock that needs to be turned a little to remove the blade, or two screws that hold a flat plate that clamp the blade. and as for the sawzaw, it will be a twist lock, or a latch lock, the latch lock will look like a lever that needs lifted to remove the blade, and the twist lock is the same as the jigsaw.
