For mold I go with a few different home remedies. I start with distilled vinegar in a spray bottle to clean with. You can mix it with water if you dont want to use full strength. If I dilute it I usually go half and half. If that doesnt quite finish off the mildew then you can sprinkle baking soda on the areas and let sit for a day or two. That should **** any remaining moisture into the baking soda and get rid of any smell.

How to clean the mold of the rubber

If you have mold on the rubber gasket of your Duet front loader, I can almost assure you that you have lots of mold in other places in the machine. Front loading washing machine are almost hermetically sealed and if the door is left closed, the inside just never dries out. This is just a perfect environment for the growth of mold and other fungi. Once mold gets established in materials such as rubber gaskets, it can be very difficult if not impossible to eradicate because mold grows "roots" deep into the pores of the material, making it very difficult to remove. Eradicating the mold may result in damage to the gasket since my "cure" is to paint on full strength bleach on the moldy surfaces with a brush or sponge (wear gloves). Repeat if necessary. You may wind up having to replace the front door gasket to get all of it. It will probably take more than one application to fully eradicate the mold from the VISIBLE surfaces of the rubber gasket. If you remove the detergent dispenser and peer inside the opening, you may see a lot more mold inside the cavity. If you see mold inside the detergent dispenser cavity, imagine what the rest of the inside of your machine must look like. Do you run a periodic cleaning cycle as advised in the operating manual? Have you read the operating manual? Do you use the absolute minimum amount of HE (non foaming) detergent? Factory instructions for cleaning the door gasket call for mixing 3/4 cup of bleach into 1 gallon of warm water and applying this mixture to the affected gasket area, let stand 5 minutes and wipe the area down with a dry cloth. My experience has shown that this is a grossly inadequate concentration to deal with a deeply seated mold problem in the door gasket. To run the cleaning cycle, the factory calls for 2/3 cup of bleach to be added to the bleach dispenser. "Use of more than 2/3 cup of bleach will cause product damage OVER TIME". Initially, I would definitely consider using a whole lot more bleach than recommended and run two or more consecutive cleaning cycles. Then EVERY USE OF THE MACHINE: wipe the door gasket and all the creases and folds dry with a sponge, remove the detergent dispenser and wipe the cavity dry, leave the drawer out to dry on a clean towel, leave the door open, buy a cheapy plastic box fan and place it inside the machine and let it blow air around the inside of the machine for an hour or so to dry it off quickly, run a cleaning cycle at least once a month. If this sounds too involved or difficult, I would suggest switching to a top loading washer that is much less prone to develop mold growth as air can circulate in these types of machines to a much greater extent than the front loaders.

Techniques for Cleaning Surface Mold

Surface molds grow in just about any damp location, such as the grout lines of a ceramic tiled shower. They\'re easy to scrub away with a mixture of 1/2 cup bleach, 1 qt. water and a little detergent. The bleach in the cleaning mixture kills the mold, and the detergent helps lift it off the surface so you can rinse it away so it won\'t return as fast. You can also buy a mildew cleaner at hardware stores, paint stores and most home centers.

Even for simple cleaning, protect yourself from contact with mold and the bleach solution by wearing a long-sleeve shirt and long pants as well as plastic or rubber gloves and goggles.

If the mold doesn\'t disappear after light scrubbing, reapply the cleaning mix and let it sit for a minute or two. Then lightly scrub again.

Seal the clean surfaces when they\'re thoroughly dry to slow future moisture penetration. Apply a grout sealer (available at tile shops and home centers) to tile joints.

Caution!

Don\'t mix ammonia or any detergent containing ammonia with bleach. The combination forms a poisonous gas.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning is best accomplished by using warm lightly soapy water. Use of a dishwashing soap with a citrus base is
best. Simply wipe the item with a wetted damp rag and then wipe dry with an absorbent dry towel. To maintain luster use a spray on furniture polish like Lemon Pledge.
Direct exposure in the sun light will make the oil fade due to UV rays. Over time the oiled surface can be refreshed by cleaning and then applying a light coat of neutral natural wood oil.
The original Livos oils use are not from manmade chemistry or petroleum based products. They are from natural plant chemistry and are water resistant and food safe surfaces.
Note: Natural wood with natural finishes packed in cardboard boxes may develop surface mold due to air moisture and contact between cardboard and wood. The wood is a natural heat sink and warms and cools creating moisture inside the box. The wet cardboard causes surface mold to form occasionally.
After removing from the cartons simply clean as above. The piece will adjust to its new climate and stabilize over time and the surface mold will stop forming.

Any solutions for constant black mold growing in GE Monogram refrigerator? It is not a lack of cleaning problem. Never had a refrigerator do this before.

Permanently removing mold from a refrigerator is tricky because mold likes cold dark places (like refridgerators). However, I would try a stonger cleaning solution such as bleach. The attached link explains how to get rid of mold:

hi,

you can purchase a cleaning product to run through the machine but white vinegar on a 95c wash also works.don't put any clothes in it though. if it has eaten into the door seal too much you can easily have them replaced. always leave the door open after each wash for about half an hour to let it dry out otherwise a damp environment is perfect for bacteria to develop. lots of hot washes and the door open prevents this.
