this is not a thought I am 100% sure and give you the correct solution:
problem with the paper feeding section is dusty or due to developer drooping
1. Open the developer unit and check the rear side developer unit bush one or two bush are faulty
and drop the developer.
2. remove all paper trays with remove the four each screws
3. Remove the toner collection bottle
4. Remove the right side cover.
5. Remove paper left roller plate.(show in the picture)
6. Now remove the first tray paper feeding section(is a complete unit included paper feed rollers motor and clutch and gear section)
7. Clean the drooped developer from all gears and roller and motor section
8. remove the second and third tray paper feeding section and doing the same.
9. now fix it all
10. replace developer unit bush witch are faulty or if you don't have yet cut a plastic sheet and past the upper side of first paper feeding unit gears witch are don't disturb the paper path and stop the developer drooping on the gear good_help.pnggood_help_0.png

Change the developer in afficio 450

To remove the Dev. unit.
1. Open the right upper cover and front cover.
2. PCU. (☛ 3.11.1)
NOTE: Spread paper on a clean flat surface that is free of pins, paper clips,
staples, screws or any other metal objects.
3. Loosen [A] (! x1)
4. Rotate bracket [B] left.
5. Development unit [C]
NOTE: Pull slowly to avoid scratching or nicking the development roller.
6. Set the development unit on the spread paper.
7. If you are temporarily installing a used development unit for test purposes,
perform SP2-220 and 2-802-1 after installation (☛ Chapter 5, “Service Tables)

Replacing the Dev. material.
1. Development unit (☛ 3.12.1)
2. Remove the development roller (☛ 3.12.3)
3. Empty toner [A]
4. Turn drive gear [B] to ensure that no developer remains in the unit or on the
developer roller.
NOTE: Dispose of the used developer in accordance with local regulations.
Work carefully to avoid scratching or nicking the development roller.
5. Pour approximately 1/3 of the developer [C] evenly along the length of the
development unit.
6. Rotate the drive gear [D] to work the developer into the unit. Repeat [C] and [D]
until all toner is in the unit and level with the edges.
7. Reassemble the development unit
8. Cover the toner entrance hole [A] with a piece of paper.
9. Install the development unit in the machine.
10. Turn on the main power switch, make sure that the machine has warmed up,
then perform the TD sensor initial setting using SP 2-801.
NOTE: When performing this setting, cover the toner entrance hole with a
piece of paper. This prevents used toner falling from the PCU into the
development unit during the TD sensor initial setting and interfering
with the Vref setting (toner density reference voltage).
11. After performing the TD sensor initial setting, remove the sheet [A] from the development unit.

This is how you replace and reset (calibrate) the new Dev. material.

Toner fly in Bizhub 500

The problem may be comming from the drum unit, there is a small over sray tray right under the developer mag roller. It is mostly filled up with waste toner or dropped toner from the mag roller. You have to take out the drum unit and then the opc drum and vaccum out the tray and that should take care of the problem for now... The problem will come back..... Have you ever had the developer and or the drum & blade replaced. Minolta are a duel component copier. When the developer is worn out it will start to trow toner and fill up the small tray under the dev. mag roller..... Good Luck

Printer wont pick up paper

In my experience with these little monsters, I found that sometimes toner drops from the developer unit to the paper transfer area and blocks the paper sensor, you will have to unplug it and remove all (drum unit, Developer unit and drawer) and check the sensors along the way up from the drawer along the paper path leading to the actual drum area, and only with a vacuum Preferably a shop Vac that has enough suction, Home Vacs aren't strong enough. Good Luck

We have a Minolta DI250 and when we copy a document comes ot blank in the middle of the paper. Does anybody knows what could be the problem?

Blank in middle could be lack of toner or developer in the developer unit. Also bad charge or transfer coronas. Is paper
wrinkled? You might make a copy and stop the copier before thapaer goes into the fuser, and see what kind of copy on the paper. If complete problem is in the fuser such as warped rollers, etc.....
