I cant get sound on my computer since I took it through systems recovery, Ive tried all that I can with my limited knowledge of computers and all I can come up with is that I have no audio device. whatever...

1 - r u facing NO Audio/Sound issue...?
2 - is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

if ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....and no file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it….
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)'s quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service.
Copy the above address in the browser, replace + with dots.....all the best....

PCI and Audio Problem

ok there is a check you can do, press start button, go to control panel then system, then device manager, double click on sound, video and game controllers, this will bring up your audio devices, click on your audio device, does it say its functioning correctly in the window for that device?, if not select the tabs in this windows to install drivers, if windows or internet can't find one, what is the soundcard or inbuilt audio chip called, search google for the right driver, or get the correct one from the hp website ok, bassically you need to now what type of audio device is in your computer ok

The Asio Driver OmegaAsio could not be started!

I get this too. I don't know how to stop it happening in the first place, but if you find you can't record after it happens, this is what sorts it for me:

Go to 'Devices' and then 'Device Set-up'. Make sure you're in the 'VST Audio System' part of the menu. Click on 'Set to Defaults', then 'Apply' and 'OK'.

I have to say, though, I'm finding the Omega a total pain because of all these random issues!
