Check inside the green guide (sensor) for pieces of label. That will block the sensor. If the sensor is reporting a thickness which is double (250) what you expect, then that is definitely the issue.

1)PLACE THE SENSOR IN TO THE LABEL GAP PROPERLY 2)CHECK THE SENSOR TYPE IN PRINTER(menu->media settings->sensor type) 3)PERFORM A MEDIA AUTO CALIBRATION(press and hold feed on control panel) 4)SET FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS

On the I class printer, there are 2 solutions to make the ribbon wrinkle correct.
On the face of the printhead, there is an adjustable sheild that you can angle for and aft of the plane of the head.
There are 2 screws on the top front edge of the shield.
Also there is an adjustable cam bar just to the right, back of the printhead mounting. There is a small adjustment cam just inside of the lower rear of the head. To adjust the inmcoming angle of the ribbon, loosen the outer screw, and turn the knurled adjustment knob. You can see it plainly by opening the head, tand looking down the ribbon path. It is on the right hand lower side.
You might also try adjusting the printhead pressure(small green knobs on the top of the head) But that will depend on how much they are already adjusted down(more pressure).

have you checked the connection between the printer and the computer to make sure it didn't get loosen or disconnected?
If ok, then try turning the printer off, shut down your computer, reseat the connection between your computer and the printer (both ends of the cable - or can try a different USB port on your computer), then turn the printer and the computer back on in the order described.
