The CD is not available for installation is it necessary? I have all of the cable if the Yellow cable connects to the cable router what does the white cable on the wireless router connect to. Thank...

If the cables supplied have RJ45 connectors then they are used for connecting and configuring the wireless settings in Netgear router and to connect the Netgear to the DSL modem foe Internet access.
Most likely the color of the cables is not important.
To configure the wireless settings, connect a cable from one of the LAN ports (not the WAN/Internet port) to the LAN port on your computer. You may remove this cable after configuring the wireless settings if you want to connect to the Netgear by wireless only. You need to connect other computers to the Netgear's LAN port with a cable if they do not have wireless cards installed in these computers.

The other LAN cable is used to connect the Netgear WAN/Internet port to the DSL modem so you computers can connect to the Internet via the Netgear router.

Follow these instructions to configure the Netgear router.

Hi dude check this would be useful
http://kbserver.netgear.com/pdf/wgt624v3_ref_manual_25Apr05.pdf
Things You'll Need:
  • Ethernet cable
  • Cable or DSL modem
  • WGT624 Installation CD
  1. 1 Plug the Netgear WGT624's AC adapter into a wall outlet. Plug an Ethernet cable into the yellow Ethernet port on the back of the Netgear router. Attach the other end of the cable to the Ethernet port on the back of your modem.
  2. 2 Insert the installation CD that was included with the Netgear WGT624 into your computer's disc drive. Click the language option you want to use and then click "Setup."
  3. 3 Follow the setup wizard's onscreen instructions and then click "Finish." The wizard will automatically detect your Internet settings. Open a web browser and navigate to "http://192.168.1.1."
  4. 4 Type "admin" in the Netgear's "User Name" text box and then enter "Password" in the text box labeled "Password." Click "OK."
  5. 5 Click "Yes" and wait for the latest firmware upgrade to install. Double-click the upgrade file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the upgrade.
  6. 6 Click the "Wireless Settings" link if you want to password protect your wireless network. Click the "WEP" radio button and then type in the password you want to use for your network in the "Passphrase" text box.
  7. 7 Click "Apply" and then close the web browser.

Blinking light on NetGear FS108

One LED is a Link light that will blink on activity.
The other shows link speed.
These boxes have AutoUplink negotiation so no crossover cables are required.
Test again with a standard straight though ethernet / CAT5 cable.

Yellow Ethernet Cable

Hello,
Ethernet cables can come in all colours (very unhelpfully). The cable you need has RJ45 connectors at either end, which are clear.

It goes by many names: you are looking for Cat5e or Cat6, ‘straight’ or ‘patch’ cable, which is used to connect, say, a computer to a router. Do NOT use ‘crossover’ cable.

Netgear has some info here (a little out of date but OK:)

The light of internet is orange, not yellow.

The router should have reset button on the back. This will reset it to factory defaults. If you have an ISP that gives you internet without a username and password like rogers then you should be good to go. If your ISP is like Bell then you will need to get into the website of the router and configure it.

Netgear JGS524 appears to be dead...

This is an un-mamaged switch, so it is very difficult to get any kind of diagnostic information out of it. Some times, this may mean that the switch is on and active, but at those times, there is some times a mode button to switch through the different types of indicators on the switch. This switch doesn't even have that. There is almost no documentation on this device. The only thing I could find was this install guide, and it doesn't mention anything about the lights indicating some type of diagnostic code. If you connect two machines to the switch, and both these machines have Static IP addresses (do not use DHCP), can they ping each other? If the can, then I say the switch is fine and its just a cosmetic problem. If they cannot, then I am afraid you will have to return this one as well.
