SOURCE: WHAT IS THE LOAD CAPCITY SIZE OF WASHER MODEL 110.20702990

On newer, and sometimes a little newer, Whirlpool and Kenmore (Kenmore is made by Whirlpool) considers a few things in determing capacity. Most of the inner baskets are the same size, but they also add in agitator action into the mix. A Kenmore with an auger top agitator would have higher capacity than a Kenmore with just a normal agitator, even though it has the same sized drum. So a super capacity washer would have theoretically less CLEANING CAPACITY than a super capacity plus. The agitator action is actually what determines capacity on these models. So, with that in mind, cubic load should be about the same on both units. Sorry that I had to go into "Bill Nye The Washer Guy" mode, but thats about the only way to describe. Let me know if I can confuse you any more haha. Seriously though, if you need further help or info, write back, and will try to get you some other information. Remember, this theory only works on top load "normal people" washers, not the front loaders.

SOURCE: What is the capaity of 2005 Kenmore Elite Washer and Dryer, models 110?

Starting in early 2002, the capacity sizes were changed around a little bit. A normal sized washer now all have the same sized tubs (pretty much) in the 110 series (Whirlpool Manufactured) washers. The capacity is now rated somewhat by the agitator action the washer comes with. Depending on the type of agitator you have, will determine the capacity. King size capacity means you have a pretty good capacity (size wise) than others. You have normal capacity, large capacity, super capacity, king capacity, and I even think they have canyon (yes canyon) capacity. Capacity sizes dont really mean to much though. In order for you clothes to get clean, the must have room in the tub to move. The must be able to float up, then get pulled down by agitator action. That should determine the size of what goes in the washer. Always use same type clothing when doing laundry (i.e. towels with towels, sheets with sheets, etc, this will keep the load balanced better). Watch what you load, comforters are ok (per manufactures ok) but I do not tlike the idea unless its a front loader, and only by itself. Let me know if this helps you out any.

Kenmore appliance model numbers have a three digit prefix (106 in this case) for the manufacturer. The rest of the model number indicates a lot of the specifics for the refrigerator. The third digit is the second group indicates the capacity. This fridge is a 22 cubic foot model (or slightly smaller).

I hope this helps.

You seem to be missing a few digits in the model number. Sears Parts Direct lists 11 refrigerator models that start 253.562824. (The full models numbers have 2 extra characters, including 253.56282400 and 253.5628240N.) See http://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/search.html?q=253.562824 for the list of models.

Kenmore uses the 3rd digit after the decimal point to indicate the cubic footage of their refrigerators. With a 2 in that position, this model has a 22 cubic feet capacity (probably 21.6 or 22.1 cubic feet before rounding). Using the size of other models, the external dimensions will be between 30" W x 31-3/4" D x 69" H (the size of a 21 cu. ft. model) and 35-5/8" W x 28-1/4" D x 69-3/8" H (23 cu. ft. model). One current Frigidaire 22 cubic foot side by side model has the external dimensions: 33" W x 32" D x 69-7/8" H. (Note: the 253 in the model number indicates a product made by Frigidaire for the Kenmore line.) Unfortunately, I can't find the dimensions for any of 253.562824 models.

I hope this helps.

Open the refrigerator door. Measure the depth of the refrigerator

from the front edge of the refrigerator opening to the back wall. Make sure that you measure in feet and not in inches. Note the depth measurement on a piece of paper.

2 Measure the height and the width of your refrigerator's opening. Note the two additional measurements on your paper. Multiply the depth, height and width measurements to obtain the refrigerator's cubic foot measurement.

3 Take the same measurements from the interior of the freezer. Multiply those measurements together to get the cubic foot size of your freezer.

4 Add the cubic foot measurement of the refrigerator interior to the cubic foot measurement of the freezer interior. This gives you the total cubic foot measurement for the refrigerator.

Greg,

If you put in the make and model of your refrigerator, it did not come through with your question. As far as sizing goes, most manufacturers will usually put part of the cubic foot size in the model number. For example, I just installed a refrigerator that at the store they labeled it as a 21.2 cubic foot refrigerator and the model # starts out as GTE21GS... That .2 cubic foot does not show up in the model but the 21 does, so that should give you a basic starting point. Hope this helps!

you can find out by measuring the depth of the tub in inches. Measure the diameter of the tub at the opening where you put the clothes in. Multiply those 2 numbers. Then divide the figure by 144 which is a cubic foot in inches. That will Give you the cubic feet.

Example Depth of 23 inches and diameter of 21 inches. 23X21= 483/144 = 3.35 cu. ft.

it is a 3.0 cubic foot.

- I would do some research before spending a lot of money on a front loader.
