Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

FAT is corrupted

When I disconnect it from my MacBook Pro all it will say is "FAT is corrupted. Connect to PC to recover FAT". I've got no idea how to fix it. It's not even my MP3 player, I was just asked to put music on it. What do I do?

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to fix a sandisk fat is corrupted please recover fat

You could try the following:

Start with the Clip turned OFF. Slide the power switch down to the HOLD position. Press and HOLD the center button depressed until it is recognized by the PC- give it a few seconds.

The Clip's display will state "connected" with the device now in MSC mode.

You can now repair the File Allocation Table (FAT) using Windows' chkdsk utility.

Open My Computer and find the Clip a listed under "devices with removable storage" as a flash drive. Let's say it displays as E: SANSA CLIP for example. Our assigned drive letter is E:

From the Run box under Start, enter cmd and press Enter. You will get a DOS window.

Enter chkdsk E: /f and press Enter. The /f toggle tells the utility to fix the errors.

After clicking on the Safely Remove icon in the taskbar, or right clicking on the Clip and selecting Eject, unplug the Clip.

Try powering it up again, and see if all is well.

When i turn on my mac pro it just stay the screen with the apple.. what do i to fix it?

Massive OS corruption.
First boot from a Linux Live-CD and test the hard disk, it might be faulty and that is the cause of your problems. While there you could recover your files by copying them to a flash stick.
If the disk is ok then just reinstall OSX, it's easier and way faster that trying to fix it.

Message says FAT corrupted

FAT stands for File Allocation Table.  It is basically the table of contents like a book would have.  It tells whatever device is using it where the information is stored on the memory.  If there is nothing on it that you absolutely need saved, I would connect it to a computer and format the card.

You might need to change the file format or if you have Rhapsody, you need to renew the files.
