How to replace filter in over the stove Dacor microwave

If it is damaged, replace it. Otherwise a good hot cycle in the dishwasher should get it reasonably clean... http://www.appliancepartspros.com/dacor-grease-filter-239x300-101951-ap4297764.html

Leaking Debris Filter after cleaning and replacing

Happy to find someone with the exact same issue I'm having, misery loves company!
1st: The leak was clearly coming from the debris filter...however it was stuck and would not turn (constant clicks).
Foolishly I tried and tried again, until realizing I would need to take apart the filter to reach it.
Once that was done, using pliers I turned the debris filter, and pulled it out, there was indeed an obstruction.
After re-assembling and testing - no dice, still leaking.
I DID however, notice the grease that you had mentioned - and now after fiddling with it so much, very little if
any was left.
I ordered a new filter thinking we had ruptured or damaged it...no dice, still leaking.
Finally - I tried something a friend mentioned - plumbers tape.
With your filter off the washer and in-hand, wrap the tape around the thread of the filter head, I did this first
about 4 times around the head, and tested seeing the leaking had decreased by about 50%. Another 4 times ceased the
leaking altogether.
I can only assume that there was originally a wall of grease that stopped this from happening in the first place.

What all is involved in a regular vehicle Service?

Basically you change the oil and filter and possibly the air filter and fuel filter if they haven't been replaced recently. Most ball joints and tie-rod ends and such are sealed on newer vehicles but if they have grease zerks then they will need filled with grease. Also the u-joints may have grease zerks to lubricate.

How to set it to high, med or low

Grease filters can be cleaned, according to your manual.

If you've misplaced yours, it's online here.

Charcoal filters cannot be cleaned and must be repaired.

From the manual:

Reusable Grease Filters
The reusable grease filters should be cleaned at
least once a month. Never operate the
microwave without the filters in place. In
situations where flaming might occur on
surfaces below the hood, filters will stop the
entry of flames into the unit.

To Remove Grease Filter
To remove grease filter, grasp the “finger hold”
on the filter and slide to the rear. Then pull filter
downward and to the front. The filter will drop
out.

To clean Grease Filter
To clean grease filters, soak and then agitate
filter in solution of hot water and detergent. Do
not use ammonia or ammonia products because
they will darken the metal. Light brushing can
be used to remove embedded dirt. Rinse, shake
and remove moisture before replacing.

To Replace Grease Filter
To replace grease filter, slide the filter in the
frame slot on the back of the opening. Pull filter
upward and to the front to lock into place.

I am trying to remove the filter from a tappan range hood model HD1442I I see clips on each side of the filter but they don't want to move.

They are more than likely stuck from grease take a butter knife and slid it between the hood and the screen and break the grease seal all around the screen then try removing it by pulling on the tabs at the same time in one direction away from the frame it should come out. You can go to Wal Mart and buy Super clean to clean the grease out of it and the hood as well. Be sure to wear rubber gloves when using the super clean, it's in the automotive section if yo have a spray bottle you can buy the gallon jug it's like $7.00 for a gallon and $4.99 for 10 oz. spray bottle and I use it on everything cars stoves washing machines and any appliance that needs cleaned it is a very powerful cleaner. Hope this helps, if this does not do the trick let me know and I will give ya some more advice but pretty sure it's just the spattered grease holding it in place. Hope this helps and thanks for using fix-ya.

Check the axle boot. When they rip or crack they will sling grease around.

Blown outside cv boot

There is no grease nipple! The cv's are greased during assembly and the boot holds the grease in. When you buy a new boot the grease comes with it in a package.

Jenn air s166w down draft range with ill-fitting grease filter when we moved in. I think the range is 20+ years old. The replacement part I ordered is too wide (6 3/4 inch) for the opening of 4.5 inches...

i have had trouble with this filter in the past, it seems they changed the body style years ago and the filter you have is for the new down draft
but your problem is not that hard,
you can buy the proper air filter at you local hardware store and make your own replacements for pennis on the dollar,
one 3.00 filte will get you between 3-9 filters
you want a charcoal filter you can just lay it in under the air grate
