Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

.i saw one of answers about fx on roku stick. I went to that link but it still asked for a provider..cable dish etc. So u can not have fx on roku without provider?

Fx like many channels does require a subscription service (cable or satellite). Makes no sense to me either. Look at getting a subscription to playstation vue or slingtv. Both have reasonable packages and both are on roku.

Try your local library, they have access to many online service manuals that require a subscription. Its free to access them all, but you can only get access to them at the branch.

Public Access Without Audio

I assume you put it on the right channel and they want it on the left. The easiest is to make both channels the same ie set it in stereo mode.

Do I need cable to view local news

Yes it is called "DTV" digital television, you will need a tv, the tv must have a digital tuner built in most do now a days, if your tv is older you will need a digital converter box also, you can go down to your local store to find a digital antenna- take it home and try it. the issue with this is you can get all channels perfectly in one room with no problem and in the next room with the same exact equipment you wont get any or very little channels, unlike traditional analog television digital television either works or not, no sketchy picture- best advice is to buy a set up from a store that allows returns and try it, if it don't work try a different antenna, also try moving it around, keep in mind you will interfere with the signal so if it works take a seat in you chair it might interrupt the signal--Good Luck.

Need new code for the star view box. normal channels like bbc 1,2,3 i can watch them but sky sports and other channels, i cant watch them.

Sky Sports is now an encrypted subscription service and no longer free to air. Your only legal fix is to purchase a subscription. I'm sure you'll understand that FixYa cannot offer assistance with any illegal means of accessing the service.

I cannot advise you regarding the other channels as you haven't said which ones. But the same principles apply as above.

Can i access my digital channels on cabel without a box? I dont want to have to type in sub numbers, can my remote be programed for that?

Local digital channels should be available from the cable TV line from the wall. Your TV has to have a digital tuner. You can do a channel set-up scan with the TV. Then do channel up and down or channel # access to get to desired channel.

Unable to pick up local ''free'' channels following digital change over. Using RCA DTA800 converter and Phillips 2750/27 antenna. Can pick up only one local channel, but signal loss is more often the...

first of all, make sure all your connections are secure and threaded all the way in. Next, go to the main menu and press 5 (configuration) and press 1 (search for channels) if this doesn't work, press 4(signal strength meter) and see how strong your signal is. You may just need to re-position your antennae. If all else fails try system reset(number 5) and repeat search for channels. I've had similiar experiences with mine but I have a 62% signal strength and still get 20-something channels. Hope this helps.

You don't need it. I have Directv also. I would call them up to find out what happen to the missing local channel. It should be included in your subscription.
