Remove your ram, reseat 1 stick ,then try it to see if you have a video signal. If not remove 1st stick of ram, try the 2 nd one. I have recieved a couple of Gateway Pc's that had no video output. Reseating the ram worked on both of them.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Having a quick look at the manual there appears to be a single screw on the rear of the computer that holds the side panel closed. once you remove the screw the side panel should come free.

Need to find the right size video card

You don't have a choice but to switch to a bigger case in order to install the video card or get a external dual video adapter via USB.

I turn my Gateway E4100 on and all the lights come on and the fan comes on but the monitor will not display anything I have tried a few different monitors and the ame thing always happens. Any thoughts?

Default Video Adapter Might Be Set Wrong Within Bios, RESET Your CMOS, by taking the pin and taking it from 1-2 and put it on 2-3. Or Just Take Out The Battery On The Board. Change Ur Adapter To Whichever Matches Your Card. PCI, AGP, PEG (PCI-E)

I Also Assumed Your Video Card Wasnt Built On, You Could Try Plugging Your Monitor Into Your Build On Video Adapter.

If All Fails, Try A Different Video Card. I Had a video card kill my computer once
