Question about Saws

First check for spark by grounding the side of the plug to the machine and looking for a spark to jump accross the gap.I have a deviced that goes between the spark plug in the engine and the spark plug lead that has a light inside it that is much easier to see. If no spark clean or replace the spark plug and look again. If still no spark you will need to replace the points and condensor which is normally under the fly wheel.
