SOURCE: How do pressure tanks such as varem work?

Varem pressure tanks are simple pressure vessels. They have a chamber where the fluid comes in and a bladder that is pressurized on the other end that the fluid pushes against and compresses the air or other gas that is inside the bladder. When the pressure on the fluid line reaches the pressure switch setting, the pump shuts off and the gas pushes the water back out of the tank (if it is being used) until the pressure switch lower limit is reached and the pump kicks back on, pushing fluid back into the tank. This cycle continues until the fluid is no longer being allowed out of the system.

The bladder pressure is set when the system is empty of water and is set to a couple of pounds less than the low pressure cut on setting, that keeps the bladder from pushing all the fluid out of the tank before the pump comes back on resulting in a zero pressure moment which with some pump switches means it shuts down and has to be manually restarted.

My sand point well the water stops and starts again

You probably need to purge the pressure tank.
Well Pressure Tank Installation Instructions

Pressure tanks lose their Pre Charge pressure and have to be serviced. The well Pump needs to OFF. The Pressure tank needs to be emptied of water. There should be an air valve on the tank. Check the pressure .If this is a Bladder tank and Water comes out of the air valve- then the bladder is broken and the tank needs to be replaced. The Pre Charge pressure is set to 2 psi Below the cut-in pressure set by the pressure switch. If your system operates at 20-40 psi, The Pre Charge pressure will be 18 psi. Hope this helps.....

How do i install a pressure tank to my water heater?

Do you mean expansion tank? To relieve pressure?
Expansion tank goes on cold water line before cold enters tank.
See image:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/water-heater-expansion-tank.jpg

Expansion tanks are installed when TP valve is constantly drizzling hot water due to very hot temperature settings. Or when water pressure is high, etc
It's also smart to install expansion tank so plumbing lasts longer, and older tank is less likely to rupture and cause damage. Inspect tank for leaks each 6 months.
Some regions require expansion tank by local code.
Water heater can be damaged when pressure exceeds 80psi. : Test pressure using pressure gauge at water heater drain valve.

All double faucets in our house run hot cold hot. Single faucets are fine. Problem?

Do you have a well and/or, do you have an expansion tank installed in the system. Alot of homes, almost all with wells and, alot now with city water, install expansion(pressurized) tanks in the line to prevent surges in pressure and temperature fluctuations. The tank would either be outside by the pump or, could be installed on or near the water heater. If these tanks go bad or, if they lose pressure, they can't provide the cushion to prevent this from happening. Also when they go bad they will become saturated with water and adding pressure to the tank may lessen the problem but, again, it can't provide the cushion.

What is the codes means po452 and po453

Hi,

The codes indicate a problem with the fuel tank pressure sensor. One code is for no volts, the other is for high volts. Without a scanner hooked up to monitor. I have to go with you have a bad fuel tank pressure sensor. this is an emissions control sensor. the tank is pressurized and the sensor monitors it for leaks etc. the tank must come out as it is mounted on top of fuel pump module

Where is the fuel pump on a 1995 Nissan PU

see instructions from AutoZone:
The fuel pump assembly is located in the fuel tank. Refer to the fuel tank assembly illustrations in this section. On most applications, the fuel tank must be lowered to remove the fuel pump assembly. The fuel pump assembly is cooled by the fuel in the tank.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

See Figure 1
  1. Before disconnecting the fuel lines or any of the fuel system components, release the fuel system pressure as described previously in this section. Releasing system pressure is a very important step for the correct removal of the electric fuel pump.

0900c1528018d240.jpg enlarge_icon.gifenlarge_tooltip.gif Fig. Fig. 1: Internal view of the electric fuel pump
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Unfasten the fuel pump assembly electrical connector and remove the fuel tank inspection cover.

If the truck has no fuel tank inspection cover, the fuel tank must be lowered or removed to gain access to the in-tank fuel pump.
  1. Disconnect the fuel outlet and return hoses. Remove the fuel tank assembly, if necessary.
  2. Remove the ring retaining bolts and the O-ring, then lift the fuel pump assembly from the fuel tank. Plug the opening with a clean rag to prevent dirt from entering the system.

When removing or installing the fuel pump assembly, be careful not to damage or deform it. Always install a new O-ring.
To install:
  1. Install the fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank with a new O-ring. Install the ring retaining bolts. Install the fuel tank if removed.
  2. Reconnect the fuel lines and fasten the electrical connection.
  3. Connect the battery cable, then start the engine and check for fuel leaks.

The "Check Engine Light'' may stay on after installation is completed. If so, the trouble code in the control unit's memory must be erased. To erase the code, disconnect the battery cable for 10 seconds, then reconnect it a verify that the light is extinguished.

TESTING

See Figures 2 and 3
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure, as described previously in this section.
  2. Disconnect the fuel inlet hose at the electro injection unit.

0900c1528018d242.jpg enlarge_icon.gifenlarge_tooltip.gif Fig. Fig. 3: Testing fuel system pressure using a gauge and a "T'' fitting
  1. Install a fuel pressure gauge.
  2. Start the engine and check the fuel line for leakage.
  3. Read the pressure on the pressure gauge. The gauge should read approximately 36.3 psi (250 kPa).
  4. Relieve the fuel system pressure again.
  5. Remove the pressure gauge from the fuel line and reconnect the fuel inlet hose.
