SOURCE: Video output not working

it sound to me like you have a broken connection on yourvideo out jack on the main unit becouse you say the lead is fine and the tv screens work with another unit.this can be caused by the plug being pulled out in a wrong angle. ask an audio dealer to chech the solder connections in the unit to see if they are making a connection with the pcb(printed circuit board. hope this helps

I know that the Jensen has a "Dual Zone" setup in the menu settings. Make sure that you have it set right. Make sure nalso that you are using a MONITOR OUT RCA from the Jensen, not a source input on the deck.

SOURCE: My amplifier has one pair of rca inputs. radio only has 1 output

Subwoofer signals should be MONO - not stereo (hence the single Component out on the radio)
Only use one RCA to send signal to your amplifier.

If you use a Y splitter - the signal voltage will be cut in half - deteriorating the quality, and therefore amplifying "dirty" signal.

Those cables can go bad easily. If you have a meter and know how to use it, try to test continuity on each pin. If that isnt the answer, then either the input of second monitor is faulty, or output of main screen.

Wires

Wiring Connections
1. TV TUNER
2. ANTENNA
3. POWER ANTENNA WIRE (Blue) – Connect to a motorized (power)
antenna and/or to a remote turn-on lead for an amplifier.
4. CONSTANT POWER WIRE (Yellow) – Connect the 12V PLUS constant
power wire to a live 12 volt wire in the vehicle. Before making a connection,
check that the wire you intend to connect it to is always live, even when the
car’s ignition is turned off. If a live wire is not found, route the wire to the
car’s fuse block and connect it to a live circuit there.
5. GROUND WIRE (Black) – Securely fasten the Ground wire to a grounded
metal part of the car’s chassis. If you cannot find an existing bolt or screw
to fasten it to, drill a hole in the metal and secure it with a screw. To ensure
a good ground, remove any paint or grease from areas where the wire will
contact the surface.
6. PARKING (Pink) – Connect to negative parking brake wire. This wire
MUST BE connected in accordance with federal, state and local laws. It is
the end-user’s responsibility to make sure this wire is connected properly.
7. ACC POWER WIRE (Red) – Connect to a +12 volt circuit that is only live
when the ignition is on. The best connection point is at the car’s fuse block
at the “RADIO” or “ACCESSORY” identified terminals.
8. LEFT FRONT SPEAKER (white, white/black)
9. RIGHT FRONT SPEAKER (gray, gray/black
10. LEFT REAR SPEAKER (green, green/black)
11. RIGHT REAR ( + ) SPEAKER (violet, violet/black)
12. FRONT AND REAR RCA OUTPUTS
13. CENTER RCA OUTPUT (Gray) – The center output must be connected to
an external amplifier for 3D or 6-CH mode.
14. SUBWOOFER RCA OUTPUT (Blue) – The subwoofer output is available
in all sound/audio modes.
15. DEDICATED DVD OUTPUT – Video output for rear screen and left/right
audio output for headphones.
16. AV1 INPUT
17. AV2 INPUT
18. VIDEO OUT (Yellow) - V. SEL output for rear screen.

Iv hade these forj dvd monitors installed but i can only get sound on the radio

The monitor only headrest does not have audio handling circuitry in it. the wire harness for that side is the one with the red and black wire, and the two video inputs, not the harness with the red and black wire and the three RCA jacks. It will function on the wrong harness, but it is not the correct one.

The DVD headrest has two harnesses. One of them is for power and output, the other is for input only from another source. The harness with the red and black wire has the three RCA outputs... the video lead goes to the other headrest, and the audio can be fed to an aux input on a stereo or amplifier. The input harness is designed to be Video 2 input from either a gaming system (a Game Cube is a nice option), or another DVD or video source (hand held video device such as iPod or Smart Phone like a HTC Touch Pro 2).

As for why you have NO sound, press the FMTX button repeatedly till the screen displays no FM transmitting frequency. Then you should be able to turn up the volume on the DVD player headrest only.

I just bought the dual headrest from walmart and can not get the sound to work the passenger side. can anyone help me with this?or possibly tell me how to get the sound through the stereo.

To get sound out of the stereo, either run the audio output from the headrest to the aux input on your stereo, or cycle the FM transmit options using the FMTX button on the DVD player unit to a station you can tune to on your car's FM radio.

Connecting headrest monitors to Kenwood DDX-6019

Youll have to run sets of cables from your head unit to the seats, youll prob only need video, power, and ground if the sound will come from your speakers. For the same display on either monitor run to first position then link the 2 monitors.
