Question about Cell Phones
Off the top of my head I'm going to say no, you cannot get SU access without rooting your device--however I've passed to question onto a colleague of mine and hopefully will have a definitive answer for you by morning.
If you go to the AndroidSU.com/superuser you'll see that everything there is written with the presupposition that your device is indeed rooted. Is it just warranty/carrier issues that make you hesitant to root the device?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
