If you have been to the Gateway site and there aren't any drivers... or Gateway is no longer is business. Do this: 1) Go to Windows Update and let Microsoft do the hard work for you. 2) Go to the Intel site, support, find drivers automatically and let Intel do this for you. If your an advanced user, or have time and really want to update all your drivers manually... you have to MY Computer, and use the Icon "View" instead of the basic one. Open "Hardware/Devices" and expand all the entries by clicking on the plus "+" signs under each type of hardware. (Anything with a Yellow mark next to it, isn't working properly!!! Start with those first!!! Have a pencil and paper handy or open Notepad and type everything you have in there: Everything including descriptions. The most important things to have in your Hardware list are the software Version number and the version number date; open all the submenus to see them... including Driver Update. You will have to navigate with a search engine to every mfr's site to see if there are updates for your hardware, one site at a time. Realtek is good about providing updates and graphics mfrs too: AMD's ATI and NVidia are the two most common. Some mfrs do not provide updates on their sites... using reputable sites from PC mfrs is okay as long as the version numbers coincide with the ones that are provided with your PC. Some mfrs renumber the drivers using their own numbering systems. NEVER update the BIOS unless they come from your PC mfrs site and are listed for your PC!!! Always choose the latest versions with later dates that your own for the SAME hardware that you have with the SAME or INCLUDED operating System. Remember there are differences between 64Bit and 32Bit drivers sometimes. Use the appropriate ones for your system. (Your PC can't have both, it's either one or the other.) TIP: Type in "dxdiag" without the quotation marks in the Start menu to see which one you have AND to test your PC's display and sound.
