First, try the eject button after unplugging and plugging in the unit from power. If that doesn't work, Look for a small hole to the side of, just above or just below the tray. Poke a needle in the hole, and it should release the tray lock and eject the tray slightly. You can then pull the tray open and remove the disc.

Jammed by putting tape in upside down

Take off the battery on the camcorder. Insert the battery and at the SAME time, push the power and the eject to see if this resets the camcorder so it will eject. If this does not work, I'm afraid the unit will need to be taken apart and removed manual. Good Luck

Well don't know where to put the mini dvd

Turn the camera upside down. There should be a switch which pops the side of the camera open. Slide tape in. Close carefully by observing the "press here" stamp on the metal door. Then close the outer door.

How to reprogram Harmony 520 to a replacement DVD/VCR?

You need the Harmony software on your computer that is available at www.logitech.com. You will then have to connect your remote to the computer to change your configuration using said software. You may need to start from scratch if you don't know the username and password for your Harmony account. The software will step you through setting up your remote it's fairly simple.

Will not close while tape is in ejecter, alarm beeps and screen says (remove cassete), but will however close without tape??? canon mv830i digital camcorder...

Several things could be happening...the tape is backwards, upside down, inverted or just wrong type since it closes without it. Next check to see on the inside if something is jamming the tape. While it closes without a tape there could be something that jams when a tape is inserted.

Smacking camera does not work- HDV ZR1U SONY

Look at my most recent post about this, or better yet, go to camerahacker.com to see many possible solutions plus diagrams and actual pictures. You'll have to scroll down about 60 pages or so, ther are over 2,000 complaints about this error code alone on just this one website!
YOu may be missing the roller, the white plastic lock or both. Turn the camera upside down, remove the tape and gently shake it and see if anything comes out.
Re-install per the directions on that website. If not sure what to do and you find the parts, post here again and I'll try to help you. good luck! BOYCOTT SONY!!!!!

Sony SLV-940HF automatically ejects tape.

1st try a different tape.
If it's the same, listen carefully for unusual noises, clunks, grinding, etc. when the tape goes in. Is something binding?

With the tape out, look inside the door, see if you can spot anything in there that shouldnt be there such as a small toy, money, playing card, sandwich, bits of food? Those are the usuals.

Turn the vcr upside down and holding the tape door open, tilt it so if there was a foreign object in there, it would fall out.
