Question about Casio Scientific Calculator FX82
How to reduce the decimal places on my calculator, It currently shows 6 decimal places i dont need them to be six
Press the MODE key a certain number of times until you get FIX. Select it. You will be asked to specify the number of decimal places (enter a number between 0 and 9). You can also choose the normal mode. However, if the result is too small or too large, it will be displayed in scientific notation.

Haven't heard of it giving nearest whole numbers before. But have you tried pressing SHIFT and then SETUP (upper right hand corner next to ON button) and then pressing 2 (LineIO)? Or perhaps you're in different MODE?

You can configure it as you wish. Press [SHIFT][MODE] to access the (SETUP) configuration screen, then select [8:Norm].
You will be prompted to choose Norm1 or Norm2. To help you find out which is more appropriate to meet your concerns, I am inserting a screen capture from the manual.
